I hate to see bad reviews just like this one, but nothing about these headphones justifies the price, besides their look. They are indeed very fashionable, but at $350, just don’t buy these. The sound is not very clear at all, which for the type of music I listen to (heavy metal), they just aren’t worth the price. However, they have gone down in price a lot, all the way to $220. This however, is still too much money for headphones that just don’t sound good. I absolutely hate being negative on beats, but when I tried these out, they sounded like $50 headphones, if I’m being generous. Just don’t buy these headphones, because if no one buys these bad headphones, Beats will be forced to either add quality to their headphones, or just go out of business.

    Terrible quality

    • Written by Isaac L from Tucson

I would rate these 0 stars if I could. I had these for barely over a year and got them as a gift. Within a couple months of slight use the fake leather on the ear cups was peeling off. This made the headphones look and feel terrible (not like they were comfy in the first place). These headphones are heavy and I was never able to wear them for more than an hour without my ears hurting. I called apple about this and they told me it was going to be $150 just to replace the earcups! BUY BOSE. BOSE ARE MORE COMFY, BETTER SOUND QUALITY, AND HAVE REPLACEABLE EARCUPS!!!!! THESE HEADPHONES ARE JUNK. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Beats Studio3 Wireless Over‑Ear Headphones - Shadow Grey

    • Written by Sean W from Ballasalla

Beautiful looking design. Exceptional build quality. Sound quality massively lacking in detail. Not especially good on bass or high frequencies, just dull. Look and feel like £300 worth, sound like £50 worth to my ears.

Feel the bass from these wireless beauties

    • Written by Abraham V

the beats studio wireless 3 in white are spectacular noise cancelling headphones. u won't hear an outside peep when these are on your ears. i love the gold accents and how u can control the volume and playback from the b=beats button on left cup. they pair quickly to my ipod touch for the gym and backyard pool area. finally no more wires to get tangled up when i am working out. the bass is out of this world. i listen to techno and hip hop music and the bass growls just right and loud. plus they are super stylish and comfortable. 5 stars all the way.

    Cheap Junk!

    • Written by TC B

I bought my Beats Studios a year ago and only use them when I travel (they aren't used daily). The cheap nylon coating is peeling off the ear cups and the female charging connector inside the headphone has become loose; I have to wedge the headphones into a corner in order to charge them. These headphones have been stored in their case when not in use as I am dedicated to taking top care of all my electronic accessories. I would not recommend these overpriced poor excuse for a headphone to anyone.

    Terrible, returned

    • Written by William N

These headphones are terrible for the price, I returned mine almost immediately. The earcups are badly padded as they don’t have a lot of padding, the headband is not well padded, the anc wasn’t that good when I tested as I could only detect a small dip in volume and not worth the minus 18 hours in battery life as advertised. And the battery brings me to the next point, mine drained incredibly fast as it came charged at 100% and over 2 hours with no anc, it went to 62%. These don’t fare much better as headphones as they are cheaply made out of plastic and is massively oversized, making it hard to move around in, defeating the purpose of Bluetooth. If it sounded good, I’d be fine with it but the sound quality is as good as the rest, which is too say terrible. Practically no bass and even if you want a clean and even sound with less bass, then these don’t even do that as these sound like the drivers are under mud. I recommend Sony WH1000XM2 as they have more bass and still are clean sounding, or Sennheiser PXC 550 if you want something lighter and easier to move in. Those are much better than this terrible product.

Bad Bass boost in Flight when using Noise Cancellation.

    • Written by Raja jaya chandra M from Dallas

Not sure if this product is tested at higher altitudes coz, I had bad experiences with my Studio3 on every flight flying at higher altitudes. When noise cancellation is enabled and at normal passenger plane altitudes, all of a sudden, the Bass of any playing song increases to a point where its unbearable to hear and never goes away even after switching on and off. I'd have to wait for several minutes switching off and On to get back to normal state. Often times, I had this problem when I had to take off headphones(with songs playing) to have some snacks and then put in on to hear the songs messed up. May be its going into a bad feedback loop with noise cancellation.

At all other times(Ground level), it works really great. But as a frequent traveller, this is really annoying.

Anyone else encountered this issue ?

I'm planning to take this to Apple store and swap it for a new one, but I really cannot explain the reason coz, it only happens on an Airplane.

    Very Unhappy

    • Written by Cian S

Very poor quality headphones got them and have just about under a year and a crack has appeared because of the poor quality of material I would prefer the money I paid for these back. As you have given me a headphone that the material has cracked on and i didn't drop or do damage to them so the crack that has appeared I don't know how its Appeared. Apple told me it Wouldn't be covered cause of the crack that isn't of my doing and no one else uses my headphone. So I will not be buying from you again for this reason as you have wasted my money on a headphone of a very poor quality and isn't the €350 price tag. i recommend to Avoid these headphones guys and buy better brand.

    Best headphones I’ve ever used

    • Written by David G from Waupun

I ran a recording studio, have been a professional musician for over 40 years, and used many high end headphones. To me, these are by far the best. Clean, loud, great bass. Love ‘em. Highly recommended.

More awesome fun from the great Beats brand!

    • Written by David E

Studio3 Wireless offers a new experience for the BEATS fan like me. The new adaptive ANC allows me to hear more of the BEATS style of sound and I’m really enjoying it! The bass is less augmented but creates a more balanced sound field. I love the augmented bass of the Studio (2) Wireless and the Powerbeats3 Wireless and great punch of Solo3 Wireless but the Studio3 breaks new ground for Beats!

    Dismal comfort, cheap feel***skip it

    • Written by Manuel R from DENVER

I bought a set of BEATS Studio 3 and the first feel I got when I opened the box was how cheap it felt. Plastique, uncomfortable to wear, too heavy, too tight, too expensive. Get Sennheiser, Sony, etc...THE UPSIDE Very easy to set up with  TV and ok sound quality . I hope the studio 4 is a much better design.

    Great near to perfect

    • Written by Björn B

This is probably the best headphone I’ve ever bought in my life. - Sounds awesome. - Sits and feels awesome. - Great functionalities with perfect Apple integration. There is nearly nothing missing. Only one suggestion maybe possible with a update as we are talking about Airplay2 at the moment with multi room, which I really enjoy very much, what you think about the possibility to share music with a friend same time from one iPhone or watch a action movie with your partner on AppleTV while the kids are sleeping? Would be the best experience ever I guess.

Awful quality, returned the same day

    • Written by Marc W from Tadley

Build quality is very cheap, which I could deal with. However the sound quality is absolutely atrocious. At first, I assumed there was a problem with the connection, or that my hearing was going. I played around with various equaliser settings on my phone ( iPhone 8) to no avail. After about 30 minutesI gave my old Plantronics office headset this was supposed to replace ( that cost half the price ) another listen and the warm, vibrant sounds that emanated from them confirmed that my hearing was in fact fine and it was just these awful Beats headphones at fault. Really not worth £300.

    Excellent headphones

    • Written by steve B from Oro valley

I cant believe how many people are critical of these. I used to be one of them, but not anymore. I am guessing that a lot of people are writing there reviews on older versions of beats that were bass heavy, but that has changed with the Studio3 version. I kind of wish that there was maybe a little more bass in them. I seem to get new headphones every couple years. This year I have auditioned 3 different ones, the Bose (non noise cancelling), the Vmoda Crossfade 2 wireless and the beats. The Bose are fine, but personally I find them boring. When I got the Vmoda's I thought I had found the perfect wireless headphones. They sound amazing, look very cool, and are comfortable. As of writing this, I am still going back and forth between the Vmoda's and the beats. they both look great, they both sound great and they are both comfortable, but the reason I will probably get the Beats is because of the huge battery life, and the range of bluetooth that I get in my house. The Vmoda's start to cut out in certain areas, but the Beats do not. The range of the bluetooth is fantastic. I still have not made my final decision, but because of the battery life and range I will probably keep the Beats.

Not recommend, Apple took this over they don’t stand behind the product....

    • Written by Robert M from Bellevue

Before Apple took this brand over if I ever had a problem it was taken care of . Now I have $1000 worth of beats stuff, and $600 of it is going in the trash. No matter is it is in the ear over the ear or standard head phones, do not waste your time or money in to this brand. Apple has failed as a company and as you can see the reviews prove this. My in ear devices need a little piece of felt to fix them, O sorry we can’t sale that to you, but for $120 plus shipping and tax we can fix them!! My wireless studio head phones I used under 50 times at the gym the pads are falling apart, Amazon I can get the parts for $11 Apple wants $150 Oh yes plus ship and tax to fix their own poor design. I hope they do not start making cars, we will need to pay for the recalls, what a joke.
