Awesome complement to the Original Wireless Apple keyboard.

Very nice EXCEPT won't work with smart cover or keyboard cover on

Slick, minimal design as is to be expected of Apple. But they don't mention that it won't work with the smart cover or keyboard cover on. This means that here i Slick, minimal design as is to be expected of Apple. But they don't mention that it won't work with the smart cover or keyboard cover on. This means that here in very dusty Silicon Valley, I have to leave the screen exposed while it's charging (or put a bag over it). I've set it up beside my Samsung Qi-compatible quick charger, which CAN charge my Android phone even through its thick case. This is yet another case of Apple valuing form over function. But if you can live with removing your screen cover and replacing it every single time you put the iPad on the charger, it works great. So I only removed 1 star from the rating.

The built-in magnets grab my iPad Pro 12.9 and securely hold it in place - they are strong enough that if I set down my IPP slightly-off center, they snap it into proper alignment. The viewing angle it provides feels perfect. When I use my iPP with an external keyboard (around 50% of the time) I am finding this combination ideal. Charging times through the smart connector seem comparable to when I plug my 12W charger directly into the iPP's lightening connector, although I haven't made a precise comparison yet. I hesitated buying this because the price is not cheap, but I feel it delivers good value for what I need.

It's a very sharp little piece of engineering, small in footprint, certainly a better option than anything I had been using before such as a speaker dock, which took up three times the space. Unfortunately the Logi base started to act like the Black Knight and functionality started to drop off. We noticed after a while that the smaller iPad pro we were using would be nicely charged over night but if you leave it on, plugged in and working such as listening to the radio the power would drain during the day so that by 6pm you would be down to 40%. So this can't sustain a charge. Taking the wire out of the Logi base and putting directly into the iPad (kinda defeating the point but hey-ho)and a charge would be held and re-charge would be much faster. We lived with this for a while and then after about 6 months the Logi base stopped charging completely. Rendering the Logi base to nothing more than a stand. So I do feel a bit miffed at a significant amount of money spent for something that within a year was useless. yes I know I should have returned it but I just didn't (couldn't be bothered with the hassle). Buy with your eyes open, it might work for you but it didn't for me. As a stand it's lovely, as a charging utility, it's utterly hopeless.

Lifesaver if you’ve broken your charging port

Apparently it happens frequently because there are tons of tips online on how to remove them, but none of them are easy, few successful, and usually there is damage to the charging port once it’s removed. I was sure that I would have to get a new iPad and almost did when I went to the store and they told me the cost to repair it was almost as much as the cost of a new one. I decided to do some research and try to fix it first myself. I tried many things and ended up not able to use the charging port at all ( or the finger print ID verification :(. The only solution I found was the Logitech charging stand. I ordered it and was so happy when I got it and it actually worked to charge my iPad that would not charge through the normal charging port because after the charger breaking off in it and digging for hours to remove it had left it useless. You can’t have a case on it while you are charging, but it does lock into place fairly securely because it is magnetized. I used it for months and then decided to purchase a second one, because it is the only option I have found and didn’t want to be without a spare, just in case something happened, or it was discontinued or something. So for those of you who have had an accident and snapped the charging tip off in the port like myself and many, many others, THIS WORKS, and is a much cheaper option than paying way too much for the repair, or purchasing a new one. You do have to take it out of the case and it does have to sit in the cradle while it’s charging, but it’s not hard to get used to and is a great solution.

First started going back and forth between charging and not charging when docked (and chiming every time), now it indicates it's charging, but doesn't increase the battery level at all. I've tried connecting different cords, cleaning the iPad and stand where it connects, nothing works. Total junk. I want a refund, I just waited too long.
