No, the cable only allows you to connect your Mac to other accessories, not other accessories to you No, the cable only allows you to connect your Mac to other accessories, not other accessories to your Mac. There might be a display switcher application out there on the internet.

Thanks. I bought a generic one and it works for my Dell XPS and a colleague's Macbook to both monito Thanks. I bought a generic one and it works for my Dell XPS and a colleague's Macbook to both monitors and projectors too. So it's a standard port and adapter, not Windows or Mac specific.
