      What a disappointment!

I was very excited to see that Apple had redesigned this product. None of my previous 3 Apple iPad Keyboards made it through their first year with disconnection I was very excited to see that Apple had redesigned this product. None of my previous 3 Apple iPad Keyboards made it through their first year with disconnection problems. I opened this one to find the finish felt like a very cheap plastic. There were bubbles all over the finish and it was discolored in several spots. When I called Apple support, they said they couldn't send me a new one until this one was returned to their warehouse. I can't even order a replacement because they are now several weeks out on backorder. I'm not left with no way to protect my even more expensive than the last model iPad Pro. What has happened to you, Apple?

Not worth $200 on any planet. Wait for Logitech or Brydge or other keyboard

Got it because it's the current Day-1 "only" option. It WILL be going back. It was my fault for not reading that it does not have a backlit keyboard. Which b Got it because it's the current Day-1 "only" option. It WILL be going back. It was my fault for not reading that it does not have a backlit keyboard. Which begs the question. WHAT? WHY? If not, why so expensive? A lesson I already knew. Buy the main Apple products, but get the accessories somewhere else.

Big design flaw - Why would you leave the keys exposed?

Got this earlier today. I can’t figure out why they removed the flap that covers the keys up for when the cover is closed. It seems like the keys are going to Got this earlier today. I can’t figure out why they removed the flap that covers the keys up for when the cover is closed. It seems like the keys are going to attract a bunch of dirt and get scratched up when its fully opened and not in “keyboard” mode and the keyboard is just facing down on your work surface. And then when the keys are dirty or are scratched they will scratch up the iPad display when the cover is closed. I think this is a serious design flaw. It does seem more solid and durable than the previous version which I went through a couple of as they seemed to lose their connection to the smart connector on the previous iPad Pro model.

Not a keeper for iPad Pro

Got mine last night and took one look at this product and sent it back in the morning without even trying it. After spending so much money for my 12.9 iPad Pro Got mine last night and took one look at this product and sent it back in the morning without even trying it. After spending so much money for my 12.9 iPad Pro there was no way that I would trust this keyboard to hold my new 3rd generation iPad. Apple make a product that is a case and keyboard in one. If you do make this case + keyboard I will buy it, but this one is not a keeper.

The worst Apple product currently available, sorry Apple!

So this is a review from an Apple fan and loyal customer. So I was looking forward to getting the smart keyboard after such a long lead time and after hearing how special it would be during the keynote. Now it has arrived I am so disappointed and I will be returning it. As many reviews will say the clicking together of iPad and case are fine, but just that, fine. Yes it needs a backlight too. The feel however, is very plastic, very cheap Chinese plastic. It is bad, really bad, the edges around the keyboard are sharp and feel really cheap. It feels like something you would buy on eBay for £9.99 and then send back. It’s like the old cases you would get, hardboard covered in plastic with edges sealing it all If you are considering this keyboard go and see on in the flesh first and ask yourself is this really worth paying for. My last iPad Pro keyboard was Logitech, I shall be hoping their new keyboard comes on sale soon. I love you Apple but you dropped the all on this one.

The iPad feels secure and the case feels very well made. The connection is seamless and the keyboard (which I am using to write this) is very good quality. I have no issue what so ever and the price is what you pay for a premium product. I would highly recommend this
