This is somewhat perplexing. On Apple's product page for this monitor, it states: >For optimal performance on the 16-inch MacBook Pro, connect to power using the MacBook Pro's 96W adapter. However, the LG product page for this specific model states that the monitor can deliver 94W over USB-C. (And indeed, many news stories mentioned that fact when the revised monitor came out this summer.) For reference, the previous version of this LG monitor could deliver 85W while the power adapter for the 15" MBP was 87W, but that didn't apparently cause any problems.

Yes, I am using it that way. Plus, I have a bunch of external connections coming from the MacBook Pro 16 and drawing considerable power. The machine charges and stays at 100% once done.

Actually, Apple states the following. "This display provides host charging power to your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air. For optimal performance on the 16-inch MacBook Pro, connect to power using the MacBook Pro’s 96W adapter."
