  • Yes, but it won't be as easy since the iPhone 6S doesn't have the W1 chip. You would have to pair it bluetooth-wise.

  • While yes its true you can do it the old fashioned way, you can pair it with Android devices. However, Apple devices have certain requirements as shown on the airpods box. You need Bluetooth 4.0, iOS 10 and higher, macOS 10.12 or above, or tvOS 10 or above. I am pretty sure that those are the software requirements, however I might be wrong.

  • Apples AirPods not only work with iPhone 6s, and iPhone7. AirPods work with all iPhone and iPod models with a bluetooth feature.

  • The AirPods will be able to pair the old fashioned way via Bluetooth pairing to any Bluetooth 4.0 device, so as long as you have a device that's compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 stereo headphones, the AirPods will be able to work with it. If you have an Apple device capable of pairing using the W1 chip, then that's great, but you don't *need* one of those devices to pair with the AirPods. If you're a rebel, you can even pair them to a Samsung Galaxy S7 or an HTC 10 phone.

  • Any iPhone with Bluetooth will connect to the Apple AirPods. You could even connect a Samsung Galaxy S7 to Apple AirPods
