  • You probably need the "Rode SC7 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Patch Cable" to make it work. If you used the TRS to TRS cable that came with the Rode mic, I wouldn't expect it to work.

  • You need a Rode SC4 trs to trrs adaptor for it to work. So first mic into SC4 adaptor, then SC4 into Lightning adaptor. I have read you need to connect in that order or it doesn't work.

  • The only way I can see to get the Rode Stereo Videomic into an iPhone is via a USB device. When plugged up with the 3.5mm to lightning adapter it just appears as a headsetmic in mono
