how long are the loops? i have very thick wrists

I have the 42mm Sport Loop watch band. Stretched out flat, the nylon band itself seems to measure 25cm between the plastic hinges that hold it to the watch. Of that length about 5cm are taken up by the velcro hook end that needs to fold over to close the band around a wrist. So it seems to me that it would be difficult to wear on a wrist that measures more than 20cm around.
