Can I store my raw pictures in the iPad Pro as backup on the go? And eventually transfer back on an hard drive or on my desktop. Thank you very much.

Yes. I do this often using the SD card to lightning adapter from Apple. I then airdrop it directly to my Mac and then import into Lightroom. You also have the option from the iPad to import it directly into Lightroom (on iPad) or into Dropbox too. AirDrop is pretty quick though! :)

Yes you can download Raw images. you can use light room and photoshop to edit. (new photoshop for iPad looks amazing) the best way to transfer images however is via iCloud.I hope someone will come up with a good app that will allow for external usb/hard drive use. There are some for usb drives but they are not all that yet.
