Does this plug into a standard USB charger?
It would make sense if it does power via USB but I just want to check before dropping the cash, can't see the word USB anywhere on the page.
Bonus question - will the wattage of the charger affect the speed of charging wirelessly like it does via USB?- Asked by Joshua G

Is the cable permanently attached to the charging pad or is it connected using a mini USB type deal?
For context, I'm hoping to have the cable left where it is at home, remove the charging pad and take it to work with another cable and plug. It'll save me having to pull out furniture to unplug the charger every day. And I don't want to have to buy two chargers, one for home and office.
AnswerI have this product and the cable can be removed from the charging base. It's not a USB connection.

will this work with an iphone 6?
I am not ready to purchase my iphone X, but want to use this in the meantime with my iphone 6 -- will it work?
Additionally, I love the Pelican "Protector" case I purchased at the apple store, but the specs do not specify the thickness of the case. Will it work? is it less than 3mm?- Asked by Luke R from Salt Lake City

AnswerNo it will not as the IPhone 6 does not have the wireless Qi technology in it to make it work with this charger. Currently the only products that work are iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.
