can i send video to apple tv and audio to airport express?
I'm using airplay to play a video to a projector but the audio is located elsewhere, so is it possible to send the video to the projector via apple tv and then the audio to an airport express to come out some PA speakers?

Best Answer:Yes you can do this. You can connect your video source to the Apple TV through HDMI. For the audio you send it to any AirPlay capable receiver. You'll find the option to change your audio output in General > Audio & Video. You'll see the current audio source as your Apple TV. Just select your AirPlay device and you're good to go.

Best Answer:Yes and no- it depends heavily on what exactly you mean by 'WiFi'.
The AirPort Express WILL generate a wireless network that can be used by your iPhone and iPad, and could be used by any other device with a wireless card or that could be connected to its wired connection. If you're looking to use it to send music to a stereo, create a network to hook an AppleTV to in order to use AirPlay from your devices, transfer files between apps that allow a WiFi transfer- it will do that just fine on its own.
BUT- if you are looking at a way to get internet access, the Airport Express WILL NOT generate this on its own. You will need some form of boradband connection (cable, DSL, etc.) to connect the AirPort Express to. From there, its WiFi connection would allow your iPhone and iPad (and anything else) to get on to the internet. The Airport Express can best be thought of as a way to SHARE an internet connection, not a way to generate one.- Answered by Robert B from Lexington

Amazon Prime
Can I watch Amazon Prime on the Apple TV.
- Asked by James K from Aptos

Best Answer:Yes but in a convoluted fashion.
The iPhone and iPad will do Screen Mirroring to the Apple TV which forwards the signal to your TV. The Amazon Prime app for iDevices will view the Amazon supplied video. A friend comes over and does this through our Apple TV. If you do it enough, you'll become proficient at it.
We have a Roku device and usually don't need to mirror from our iPads. Apple and Amazon sell special cable/connectorss to connect the iDevice directly to the TV itself (cables with S-video, HDMI connectors).
All of these choices work well.- Answered by Williammichael H from Knoxville

Can I use the USB Port on the back of my Airport Express for audio?
I want to connect my Bose Speaker system that I purchased for my computer. I want to be able to use my laptop anywhere in the room without being tired to my desk where the speakers are. What are my options? Thanks

AnswerThe USB connection on this router is meant for printers. However, there is an audio jack on the back that will allow you to connect your speakers to the network. If your speakers are USB only, there are adaptors available.

Will the airport express work with the new 802.11ac Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station or should I buy the 802.11n Extreme?
Until a month ago, I was using an 802.11n Extreme and an airport Express to extend the signal. My 802.11 Extreme no longer works and I am looking to replace it. I am deciding between the n model and the new ac Extreme model. My most important question is -- will the airport express work with the new ac Extreme base station ?
If it does not, I will just by the 802.11n Extreme base station.- Asked by Jonathan C from Cary

Best Answer:I may be late to the party here but YES it will. I currently have a 10 year old Linksys WRT54G (802.11 b/g) hardwired via a Belkin ethernet powerline connection to the Extreme and it works just fine. But remember, your fastest speed will be at the rate of the slowest link. So I get 802.11 AC speeds when my devices are connecting to the Extreme, but devices connected to the WRT54G get about 100mb max on a good day due to transiting over the powerline ethernet connection.
I am waiting to see if they release a new airport express supporting 802.11AC, then I will also upgrade my powerline connection to the newest boxes. Then I will also get Apple TV and leverage the faster speeds. My stuff is 5 years old, and there is newer better faster stuff out there now.
Hope this helps - Good Luck.- Answered by Joshua T O from Phoenix

Best Answer:I bought Airport Express in Canada and wanted to use it in UK (220V). Neither the Documentation nor the Product itself has any rating on it, however, the power chord does have some fine print which says 2.5A 125 Volts ~. I called APPLE 24/7 Number at 1.800.692.7753. I was informed that the product will work with electrical system ranging from 100 Volts - 240 Volts.

whats needed to stream music to non wireless stereo system?
I need to stream to a Bang & olufsen system
- Asked by Gary R from Paradise Valley
- 12/05/2013
- Flag as inappropriate (whats needed to stream music to non wireless stereo system?)
Best Answer:Your stereo system does not need to be wireless. As long as it has a high-level input, such as AUX or similar. After you originally set up your Airport Express in Airport utility, and assign it a name, such as Main Stereo, B&O or whatever, that name will show up in the speaker selection pane at the bottom-right of your iTunes window (in Snow Leopard anyway). The Airport Express that's connected to your local WiFi network will have to be near your B&O Stereo system. All that's required is a commonly available cable that has a 1/8" Stereo Miniplug on one side, which goes into the Airport Express, and your standard 2 (red and white) RCA plugs on the other end, that connect to your Stereo system, and you are in business. Happy listening!

can I connect my PS4 to AirPort Extreme. If so, what would the steps be?
There are 4 iPhones, 2 iPads, a Dell tablet (no my choice), 2 Apple TV's, PS4 & a HP wireless printer. I also like the fact that the AirPort extreme has a range extender.
