One year standard warranty. So if it stops functioning and looks in pristine condition they will swap it out for a new one. If there is any fraying or other physical damage then it is considered accidental damage and is outside the warranty.
The MacBook Air comes with a 45W MagSafe power adapter and the 13-Inch MacBook from 2006-2009 and the 13-Inch MacBook Pro use the 60W power adapter. If the 2012 MacBook Pro is the model without the Retina display (With the CD/DVD drive) then the 60W would work on both. If you were to use a 45W MagSafe power adapter on the MacBook Pro, then it can cause problems with the battery and main logic board which are hard and not cheap to fix. The 60W MagSafe power adapter should work fine on the MacBook Air as well as the MacBook Pro.

Just use a 'tourists plug adaptor' and it will work fine. I lived in the US ten years ago and plugged my UK purchased Toshiba laptop into the mains using an ordinary travel adaptor that you get in an airport etc and it worked fine. I bought a Macbook Pro when I was out there - which is what I am typing on now and it plugs into the mains in the UK without any problems.
You don't know need a 'convertor' - just an 'adaptor' If you look on the 'white box' in the middle of the power cable, it actually says 100-240V and 50/60Hz. The supplied power cable does the necessary work for you.
So - I am using a US purchased MBP with the original US power adaptor and all I have is a £4.99 travel plug adaptor and it works just fine.

I have not seen any converter which can convert from the MagSafe 'magnetic head' to USB type-C head, therefore it can't be used with the newer Macbooks with USB C ports only.
