    Unusable for Primary Purpose

    • Written by Dave C from Santa Monica

I purchased this item, along with the recommended Lightning Digital AV Adapter, to watch movies in the backyard from my iPhone/iPad. At present it appears this is not possible - the picture works fine and is of a good quality, but the Projector will not correctly play the audio of the movie.

After spending two days back and forth with Miroir 'support' and trying all of their suggestions with no real success:

    - Update the device firmware (not possible with this model, sigh)
    - Use a USB-C video cable (not possible when playing from iPhone / iPad)
    - Switch to 'English - Descriptive Audio' in the app settings - works, but of course now the audio being played has a narrative overlay that nobody wants to hear

I'll be returning the unit. Honestly I'm surprised there is not more clear language on the product page to indicate that this unit is entirely unsuitable for this purpose, since I imagine it's a pretty common use case.

    Bulging Battery Hazard!

    • Written by Ron B from Abu Dhabi

I bought 6 of these Miroir HD Pro Projector M220 online from Apple Store for our students use. In less than a year, still under warranty, the battery on one unit started expanding cracking open the side of the case. There's no local vendor support in the region, Apple store won't replace it or take it back. So much potentials but basically disposable.

    Epic fail

    • Written by Donald R from FREMONT

A rather pricey projector, but I figured if Apple sold it, it would be best to use with my iMac and iPhones, they have the correct cables too. Worked out pretty good at first, although the color/contrast was disappointing. After 18 months and it started to malfunction. Miroir USA support was good about responding to emails. They determined that there was a failure of the optic engine and is not repairable and a few months too far away from the limited 1 yr. warranty to be replaced. The price vs quality is not equal - BUT if you want to overpay, get the extended warranty and cross your fingers. I definitely won't trust a Miroir product again even with the extended warranty.

Waste of time and money. Do not buy

    • Written by Jude O from LONDON

Save your money. This is the worst projector I have ever used. When I received it I charged it up and when I turned it on it displayed the mirrored logo then turned off as if the battery died instantly. Ever since it has not worked and I have had no time to return it because of work. This product is a joke and costs a lot of money. For £400 you would expect the projector to be in working order but no. Do not even bother with this product its a terrible investment!

    Just disappointed

    • Written by Matt C from Marlow

I bought the Miroir HD pro primarily to use for work presentations as it's portable and easy to set up.
Unfortunately if the office you're in doesn't have the ability to dim/turn off the lights the projector can't adjust sufficiently.
It is disappointingly not suitable for a work presentation.
It is fine for home use.
I'd argue it's fair to suggest the ad on this website is rather misleading.

Colour balance changes according to brightness of the scene.

    • Written by Tom M from Usk

In some respects a great little projector. However I have one major problem with it. On Films & TV the colour balance changes according to the picture content, so if the camera pans from a bright area to a dark one, the colour balance changes noticeably from a slight blueish cast to a strong green/yellow tint. This also happens from cut to cut if the lighting is significantly different.
I contacted Miroir support but they deny it is possible and claim it must be my source or my cables. But I have tried an iPad via a Apple Lightning to HDMI adapter, from my MacBook Pro via HDMI and USB-C cables and an Apple TV via HDMI, but I always get the same result.

    Good video, low sound

    • Written by Joseph L from Washington

I bought this to show videos for workshops in room a of 5-8 people. The video sound output was too low to use. I tried different adapters and different speakers...still no success. I can't imagine watching a movie with the low sound output. I am returning it. Very disappointed since the video output was nice.

Simple to use and set up

    • Written by Joseph B from Edinburgh

I use this device with an iPad for evening/day class presentations at a local library for a class of about nine people. It gives a strong powerful image for a device of this size and is very portable. The setup is very simple with auto keystone and focusing. My only disappointment is that it doesn't support all video input, so I can't use it with Macbook Air (early 2015). Do check that it will work with your laptop/iPad. Yes you do need to dim the lights in the room, but I'd expect to do that with any projector including heavy duty ones.

    A great projector, but...

    • Written by Christopher P from Huntington

This projector projects a stunning image for its size. No, it cannot replace my epson home cinema in brightness and clarity, but this thing is tiny, pocketable even with a serviceable battery. I love that it has usb c for charging and video. One hdmi may be a bummer but it is a travel projector and I believe that is acceptable. It can project a crisp (720p) image well over 100 inches from 10 ft plenty bright enough for night time viewing and the autofocus and keystone works pretty reliably. (This has no zoom so the closer it is to your projected serface the smaller the screen, but will also be a brighter image.) This would certainly be a 5 star product we’re it for one issue.
The color reproduction isn’t the greatest. It excels in brightly lit and colorful scenes and video games but otherwise it has a greenish tint, especially in darkly lit scenes. None of my friends have mentioned it but it is distracting to me.
I returned the first purchase for the color tint and bought a second which had the same issue. I certainly recommend this product just be aware of its limitations.
Pro: small. Relatively bright. Decent battery. Crisp image.
Cons: can be a bit expensive. Green tint is distracting. Low audio output. No zoom...?

The best pico projector I’ve tried.

    • Written by Oscar S from Vina del Mar

I’m very happy with this projector. The image is sharp and bright, the autofocus works perfect and the size is great.

    Great Projector

    • Written by Richard S from Frostburg

Being suspect of brightness, I had put off getting a portable projector. This week I picked up the Miroir Pro 220 at the Apple Store. I am greatly impressed and can't imagine there could be any improvement. Its picture is bright and well defined. The battery is long lived. I can see the unit is well built to stand up to travel bumps and bruises. Business presentations to date have been flawless. Very happy to have this tool in my bag as a road warrior. Unless you are trying to something unreasonable - project movies outside against a wall (really?) - this super unit will do most anything you need! Highly recommend!

    AMAZING! We love it !

    • Written by Tania A from redland bay

My husband purchased this projector, and I was sceptical !
We have moved from our house with media room ,
and we are traveling in our caravan , so when he hooked this up
We were amazed how great a picture it is , inside ,and out of the van .
The auto focus is a fantastic feature .
We highly recommend Miroir projector .
Thank you for making our travels even better:)
    Happy holidays

The reason why that guy rated it one star is not because he can’t project movies on a wall! A normal projector that advertises built-in speakers should be able to properly synchronize the audio with the video! If it can’t do so then it should be advertised as a projector for PowerPoints and presentations. I rated this five stars because I don’t know if it’s for sure true that the sound didn’t work or maybe it was a one time thing.
