Great Improvement On Already Great Product

    • Written by John B from College Station

The first generation AirPods were great, but these are a BIG improvement most noticeably in terms of battery life. In addition to music, I use mine across Apple devices and the audio quality is terrific for an earbud. But I also use them on phone calls a lot and the improved battery addresses my only complaint about the original. Between the improved battery and wireless charging, it's worth paying to upgrade if you have the originals.

While not a drastic improvement over Gen 1, these are still the best wireless buds on the market

Pleased with my 2nd Generation Airpods & Wireless Charging Case.

    • Written by Ken B from BALLYMENA

Purchased the Airpods 2 with Wireless Charging case when they were first available at the end of March. I had been waiting for the 2nd Version to arrive for more than a year. These being my first Apple Airpods I wasn’t sure what to expect other than the good reviews I had read about the 1st Generation. There was no need to be concerned, having used these now for nearly three months i am really pleased with them. Can’t believe how good the sound is from the Airpods especially the bass, wasn’t really expecting that from speakers so small. As other reviews have mentioned the setup is simple and switching between devices really easy. I have also found the battery life to be very good and can listen to music for several hours before returning the Airpods to the case for recharge. To check the charge of case and Airpods just open the lid close to your iPhone and you get the case charge level and each AirPod level as well. Charging is easy, just set the case with Airpods inside and lid closed on a wireless charger or you can just use a lightning cable and your iPhone or iPad charger. Nearly forgot, there is a very small charge indicator light on the front of the charging case. The price is really the only downside, quite expensive, but as they say you get what you pay for, and in my opinion what you get is a very good quality product. Hope this helps if you are thinking of buying Apple Airpods with a Wireless Charging Case.

    Good for music... thats it

    • Written by Vencent S from Flushing

With the updated airpods that feature the H1 chip, the benefits that surround calling are completely overshadowed by the poor quality of the mic and horrible pick up, as expected when rocking these on your ears instead of your mouth. its very disappointing on how limited you are with apple's double tap feature. Hey Siri was nice, although i find myself using that feature just to make sure i have the updated airpods.

the potential is there, but apple seems to want to unlock little bits and pieces over time so a public can "see" their improvements instead of just releasing AirPods with all its potential in place.

overall this has no wires and very easy to carry around, no tangled cables. and no more broken cables that render the head phones useless either.

along with its exceptional hearing quality. this gets a 3 star

    Lasted me a month

    • Written by Tom S from Bellevue

I recently bought the first generation Airpods at the apple store and I didn’t have the best experience from the start. When I went to go purchase my Airpods I was treated very rudely but was happy after that. I guess there better then the average earpiece but maybe not worth the price (I think my $40 PS4 head set is better). Then after under ONE MONTH the left airpod just stop working! I tried everything to try and fix it myself from resting them, turning off Bluetooth, shutting down my phone, and many more solutions I found online but still nothing. I’m just surprised that I paid so much money for this thing just to have it break (It could be worse but if I by something for that price I shouldn’t have to worry about it just quitting). Overall just don’t buy them there are better more helpful earphones out there.

    Solid Apple Wireless Buds

    • Written by Jennifer M from Bensalem

I've had my AirPods for a few months now and absolutely love them. They pair seamlessly w/ my apple products and are easy to put in pocket if you don't like wearing them all day (I don't). They work great with earbuddyz if your having problems with fit or are using them when exercising/running. My only gripe is lack of waterproofing. I've resorted to using another pair for sweaty workouts.

Mine works for 52 seconds and then it disconnects, then reconnects after 10 seconds of nothing but only reconnecting the right AirPod. In order for me to get the left side to work again I would have to put both of them back in the case and then put them back in my ears for it to only disconnect after 52 seconds. I would not recommend this product to anyone. These are absolute trash and a waste of money!

    Great product, one moderate flaw.

Great product. Wireless connectivity is brilliant for iOS devices, MacOS not so much. My biggest complaint is the wireless charging case will deactivate hotel room cards on contact. Perhaps something with the Qi charging coil Apple is using.

    Not bad, not great

These are technology wonders, but if you want them for music make another choice. They are merely adequate for true music listening. Not worth the exorbitant cost. I returned them.

Get the ones without the wireless charging case

    • Written by Zach W from Aurora

The new pair is awful in comparison. The wireless charging case ones I have to unpair and repair and the old ones just work. Really bummed on this purchase.

    Over Priced

    • Written by James G from North Hills

I love them when they work. However that's only half the time. They disconnect often now. And too f****** often only one airpod will be connected and its impossible to get the other airpod connected which is the worst. Totally wastes time trying to messing around with these instead of having headphones that actually work.

    Extremely Disappointed and Disappointing

    • Written by Javier S from Ontario

I really was looking forward to these version of Airpods, but starting off I would have to say they have been a waste of time and money. I have had to exchange my Airpods not once, twice but three times. Why, because for some reason each pair I have got the Airpods themselves charge to 100% but continue to charge without stopping. I have contacted Apple multiple times and they cannot even figure out what is wrong with their own product. My honest advice is that these really need to go back to the drawing board to figure out what went wrong.

    Bad, Frustrating, Disappointing

    • Written by Joanna M from Las Vegas

I was so excited to get my AirPods, I'm an active person and enjoy running and working out along with using them at work. However, since I've started using the AirPods, I've experienced several flaws and am left frustrating and disappointed.
-They constantly fall out of my ears while I'm running
-It's near to impossible to ever find out what the charge is at because it doesn't show up on my phone
-As I'm constantly trying to keep them in my ear, I tap the sides and it's voice control which is SO annoying because when I'm trying to run I don't want to call anyone.
-No way to turn the volume up on the AirPods.
-If the case has battery juice left and I pull my AirPods out and get the dead sound, how is that possible??? They were just charging in a case that is fully charged.

Long story short, I'm pretty disappointed and regret spending my money on this product.

I got these 2 days ago and they were working wonderfully at first. The first night I had them, music started to play out of only one ear in stead of both. No problem I thought, I’ll just reset them. And boy was I wrong. I followed the instructions and went to reset and was stuck in pairing mode for the whole night! The next morning I was about to return them and get my money back, but thought I should give them another chance. Sure enough, when I went to connect them, they connected. Great!! They worked perfectly the rest of the day. The third day comes and they are working just as well as the day before. The night comes and while I’m listening to music, the music pauses and plays again only coming out of one ear. Ok, I know what to do. Just reset them. Same problem as before, stuck in pairing mode!!!! I’m furious!! I plan on returning these as soon as possible. I might give the ones without a wireless case a try. My hopes are not high at all.

Sounds ok and generally manages to capture that Apple magic as far as ease of use.

Lasted about a month, and then the left bud stopped being able to hold a charge.

I had received my AirPods with problems with sound and gaved it another chance so I got a replacement and these new ones are truly amazing!.Only thing is that they are not as comfortable in the ears after an hour or more of use.Besides that they are a good purchase.

The original AirPods were great. No issues. Bought the 2nd gen ones because my original ones were getting pretty beat up from daily use. Nothing but issues with these. Half the time they don't connect to my iPhone 8 Plus or MacBook Pro and when they do, often its only just one side that connects and other is non existent. This is my second pair with the same issues. QA has definiley decrease. The case hinge also feels much flimsier and cheaper.

Great devices! Minor issues, but still deserves 5 stars!

    • Written by Jack K from danbury

Currently I have the AirPods 2.0 with the wireless charging case. I received them as a birthday gift five days ago and have been using them with my iPhone, Windows Laptop, iPad, and MP3 Player (not an iPod). I liked how seamless it was to pair them with my iPhone, and how it automatically named them “Jack’s AirPods”, and how they synched over iCloud and works with all my apple devices. It was not hard to pair them to devices that weren’t my iPad, iPhone, or Mac. The only cons I have are the fact that they don’t work well for running (they fall out), they sometimes cut out on my non apple devices, and they are not very comfortable however I am slowly getting used to it. They do hurt my ear canal after a while. Other than that, I use them for bike riding, in the car, and I am impressed by the sound quality (I have never owned a Beats By Dre product before)
