It literally says "10/100BASE-T performance" which limits the connection to 100Mbps. If you are lucky enough to have higher bandwidth than that, buy the Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. Either way, the device stopped working for us after updating to the newer OS. It now requires a 3rd party driver and that failed after a few days. Another quality product that we are forced to upgrade.

I have used this product for less than 6 months and it doesn't work anymore. The wires got frayed at the base of the cord and just doesn't work. Really don't know why this happens to all apple cables for as much money we pour into them.

It's 2019 and there are chipsets available that offer Gigabit speeds so why is this adapter still using an older chipset that is limited to 100Mbps?

      Piece of JUNK

This adapter simply does not work. I'm trying to use it with my 2017 MacBook Pro through the USB-C adapter but it simply does not work. I called Apple and they told me it is compatible and they couldn't figure out what the problem is. They had to keep getting me to their supervisors and they simply told me they don't know and pointed me towards a new third-party adapter. This is just ridiculous. What happened to Apple making quality products?
