      Better than you think...

I've had my urBeats since May 2015 and they are much better than I thought they'd be. I was expecting some typical in-ear headphones like the Apple in-ear ones I've had my urBeats since May 2015 and they are much better than I thought they'd be. I was expecting some typical in-ear headphones like the Apple in-ear ones or something from v-moda, something from this price range, but these are definitely a cut above. The sound quality is great, if a little bassy. With Beats everything has bigger bass, so if you don't like that, don't buy Beats. Unlike some of the reviewers here, I find that these are tougher and more durable than any other in-ear headphones I've ever owned. The construction feels solid, the in-ear cushions are comfortable and stay on the earbuds (unlike the Apple in-ear headphones), and because of the ribbon-like shape of the cables, I find that they don't get as tangled as the typical ear-buds. I don't baby my headphones so I need them to be durable, and I have used these every day on commutes, while doing housework, on long walks, and they have gotten occasionally snagged (sometimes violently) on door handles, gates, and even one time on someone's handbag in the subway, and they just got yanked out of my ears or the headphone jack, but are none the worse for wear (the ear cushions don't come flying off like on the Apple ones). I feel like I could pull on them really hard without damaging them, that's how solid they feel. I haven't experienced any earphone losing sound or completely conking out at all. I've heard that Beats gear used to be of lower quality but that they have recently really upped their game in terms of how well the gear is manufactured. And, I've also heard that knockoff Beats are very common, even from reputable vendors. So I would be wary of where I would purchase any Beats gear. The Apple Store is the most reliable because they obviously have a vested interest in selling you authentic gear, and they have great warranty and return policies. But if you buy your Beats from some weird online retailer, or even Amazon, and you get them for some amazing price, caveat emptor.

I can't say anything bad about the build quality as I have read other reviews, those are more premium earbuds compared to cheaper ones or plastic. My conclusion is that I won't recommend those earbuds to serieus audio listeners as there are a lot better choices and more likely much cheaper alternatives.

      Premium price for budget headphones.

Got a set a couple of years and have already had them replaced twice for an internal wire failure by the plug. The third set failed a couple of days ago. When they were working they sounded ok but the build quality is appalling.

Good sound, but not worth the price

However, a These headphones originally drew me because I knew that the brand was very good. When I first used them, I was very impressed with the sound quality. However, after having them for a little over a year, I am not pleased. The headphones have stopped working multiple times, playing only the background music, and have repaired themselves (which was nice). Recently, as I move the cord around when I am walking with them, they have started to shock me. That's right. It is bad when I have them both in, the shock is very strong and gives me a headache. I have friends whos headphone jack has snapped off and stopped working all together. Save your money and buy cheaper ones.

      Broke Quickly

Excellent headphones while working. One earphone broke after less than two months and warranty/refund policy is very tedious. Nice design and sound, quality not so great

Mixed feelings on these headphones, sound quality is quite good as is the aluminium EarPod design. However the volume and track selector is plastic and the pain Mixed feelings on these headphones, sound quality is quite good as is the aluminium EarPod design. However the volume and track selector is plastic and the paint wears off very quickly. As with some of the other reviews, one of the EarPods stoped working after 10 months, luckily Apple replaced with a new pair. Unfortunately the same fault has occurred on the replacement pair after 9 months, but the replacement warranty is only 3 months. Don't think the price is justifiable for such a limited lifespan.
