  • Overview

A modern interpretation of a design developed in Milan at the end of the 19th century. Woven on specialized Italian machines, the smooth stainless steel mesh wraps fluidly around your wrist. And because it’s fully magnetic, the Milanese Loop is infinitely adjustable, ensuring a perfect fit. An additional diamond-like carbon (DLC) layer gives the space black stainless steel its distinctive finish.

The end of the band has a metal tab and the inside edges are razor sharp. DO NOT BUY THIS BAND!

This is definitely not razor sharp, but it can irritate your wrist or pull your hair if you are very active. This band will also scratch your glass and case if you are not careful with it. It looks nice, but don't recommend it for anything other than trying to make a statement.

It looks very smart and and is infinitely adjustable around my wrist. However after two weeks of wearing it I have found some downsides. The wide strap to go with the wide watch takes up a lot of room and as I flex my wrist the edge gets pushed against my hand; the edge is quite "sharp" and has marked my skin on occasion. The strap adds a significant extra to the weight of the watch. The biggest flaw is that the magnetic catch mechanism can withstand very little stress; normal activity and wrist flex pulls on the strap and the catch slides back along it, the strap becomes loose, so I am forever having to tighten it up again. A minor annoyance is that when the strap is fully open the catch folds back right next to the watch and is difficult to detach - the strap could do with a non-magnetic section immediately behind the magnet to leave the catch free.

Awesome - More than I expected

I really love this band and think it's totally worth the price. It's super light, looks great and is really easily adjustable. Unlike the sports band and others I really love this band and think it's totally worth the price. It's super light, looks great and is really easily adjustable. Unlike the sports band and others that have notches, this one has a magnet so you can make tiny adjustments to fit your wrist perfectly. I had read all the negative reviews and still decided to give the band a try and am really glad I did. I’ve been wearing it for about a month and I don’t have a single complaint. It looks really elegant and fits so comfortably that I often forget I’m even wearing my watch. I highly recommend it. Also, I was a little skeptical about the description of the band being “Milanese” and whatnot, but sure enough it shipped directly from Milan. Nice Job.

Extremely Weak Magnet compared to standard stainless steel

It stayed on and I rarely had to adjust the band, For my apple watch 4 I decided to go with the black version that came with the Black Milanese.. oh my what a difference. The magnet is so weak I keep having to readjust it and it constantly falls off when im putting on a jacket or a long sleeve shirt. I love the band but really, the magnet makes it a nightmare to wear. I went from adjusting my watch once a day to 400 times a day. The problem seems to be widespread because all of my friends who bought the band also have the same issue. Night and day compared to the original band. I'm not sure if the black finishing on the band makes it harder for the magnet to catch but apple definitely needs to fix this problem because it is one of the most expensive band they sell if you take into account that the link band has not been refreshed.
