Can you play the homepod without wifi?

  • I don't think so. I brought mine to a timeshare that had some of that strange wifi that required a web browser to sign in, and I couldn't get it to work. (Apple TV didn't work either until I got the tech support from the timeshare to allow its MAC address. Since you can't see the Homepod's MAC address, they couldn't help with that.) I use my Homepod with my Apple TV at home, which is on ethernet rather than wifi; but my Homepod is still on the same network.
    It would have been great if Apple had just included an input to allow more universal access to the Homepod. At home it works great.
