Is it possible to have the 'Hey Siri' command default to an iphone over the homepod?

My wife can longer control her account from her phone while near the homepod because the homepod is both connected to my account and intercepting my wife's 'Hey Siri' command.

  • And if you have the opposite problem (when you say "Hey Siri" and your phone tries to respond when you're trying to address your Homepod) just put your phone down face down.

    Apple Responds

It's definely an optio to use your iphone over HomePod directly so long as the two devices (iphone and HomePod) recognize the iPhone as optio that should respond. Here's a link that covers the "Hey Siri" feature in detail: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208472
