With an Apple USB-USB C adapter, but NOT with a USB hub. Apple prevents USB hubs from working with Superdrives.

  • The Apple USB SuperDrive and MacBook Air SuperDrive are compatible with any Mac manufactured after 2008 that doesn’t have a built-in optical drive. You can connect your Apple USB SuperDrive to the USB port on your Mac, or on a Cinema Display (24-inch LED), LED Cinema Display (27-inch), or Apple Thunderbolt Display (27-inch) that's connected to your Mac.
