Hi Jesse C - the reason it appears more powerful in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is because only the 12.9-inch Pro has the "fast charging" capability. With other devices, they'll just charge at the the same rate as a standard power adapter.

  • Yes, this charger can be used for all iOS devices with a lightning port.

  • Voltage is the key to whether it will work with a particular device. A device will only "use" the wattage it needs. If the device can use 18w then all it will use is 18w. Supplying it 50w will not harm the device.

  • As someone else answered before, it is dual output, including 5.2 V at 2.4 A, which is the spec of the 12 W adapter. Strangely, it seems much more powerful when attached to the iPad Pro 12.9-inch. I've had trouble with the 12 W adapter powering the iPod touch, but at first glance, (the iPod was still fully charged when I turned it on), it seems to work fine, (lightning bolt shows).

Also tried iPad Air 2, and iPhone 6, under similar conditions, pretty much fully charged already, and lightning bolt shows. I'll report again if there are any issues.
