Does it run an electrical current through you to measure body density, which I am told could trigger my defibrillator, and if so, can it be disabled?

I had the same question due to my defibrillator. Taken from the Withings site:
Should I use the Smart Body Analyzer if I wear a pacemaker?
No, you should not use the Smart Body Analyzer if you wear a pacemaker or other internal medical device. The Smart Body Analyzer circulates a small electrical signal in your body to perform some of its measurements such as fat mass and heart rate, which may interfere with a pacemaker or other medical device. You can however consider purchasing the Withings Wireless Scale (WS-30) model, which can be used even if you wear a pacemaker.
Note: If you already own the Smart Body Analyzer and wish to keep it you can use it as long as you disable the body fat measurements from the Dashboard. You can do so from the Withings Health Mate app.
