    No, you register yourself. You can have as many UAV's as you want with one registration number.

    As a hobbyist / recreational user (13 years of age and older), you must register with the FAA and they will issue a unique number for yourself that covers all aircraft you fly for hobby or recreational purposes.

    As a commercial / business user you must register each aircraft, like the Mavic, with the FAA and they will issue a unique number for each specific aircraft. To be compliant, you must also be a Remote Certified Pilot and may have to file for additional licenses, insurance etc depending on your appropriate State regulations.

  • Yes, all drones over 250 grams in weight (including this one) must be registered. A license is not required for hobby use though.
