Can two daisy chained imacs read-write and external Thuderbolt drive?
I have a design studio with 2 imacs and a NAS. The NAS is gutless and read/write speeds are poor.
I see I can get a thunderbolt external drive with 20GBs connection.
Can I set it up so one mac connects to the first port of the drive using Thunderbolt and the 2nd mac connects using the 2nd port of the Thunderbolt Drive?
Is this actually daisy chained? Does one of the macs have to be a 'host' to the chain and the rest 'slave'?
I may be getting a third iMac so would that work?
e.g. imac1 - imac2 - Thunderbolt Drive - Mac 3?
has anyone got a similar setup running?
