What capacity are the two drives in this device? 500GB or 1TB each? Description is ambiguous. G-Technology 1TB G-RAID mini USB 3.0 Hard Drive
The description says that the device can do RAID 0 or RAID 1, but it doesn't say whether the "1TB" version is based on RAID 1 (which would be (2) 1TB drives or RAID 0 (which would mean (2) 500GB drives. The specs/details don't specify. IMO if it's 500GB each the description is dangerously deceptive for non-techies.

The 1TB version is two 500GB drives. The 2TB model is two 1TB HDD. The come as RAID 0. All two bay RAIDS from Gtech and Lacie come as Raid 0, hence the advertisement as a 1TB RAID. Only larger 4bay and up RAIDS come pre-formatted as RAID 5 usually
