Will Apple Super Drive work with this adapter?
I have MacBook (2016) with a single usb-c port. I bought a third party adapter to multiply this port to usb-3 ports, but it didn't work with my apple super drive. If I buy this, will this work with it? Because I've seen different statements on Apple's website:
1. The Apple USB SuperDrive and MacBook Air SuperDrive are designed exclusively for use with Mac computers that do not have a built-in optical drive. Plug in the SuperDrive directly to the computer's USB port. Don't use a USB hub. (Here: Article HT201788)
2. To connect your SuperDrive to your MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015) use a USB-C adapter. (Here: Article HT202665)
Which one is true?

This is a good question, because the SuperDrive will not work with most adapters or hubs; it must be plugged directly into a USB port on a Mac. However, the new MacBook 12" Retina and MacBook Pros don't have a USB-A port, only the new USB-C port.
I can confirm that the SuperDrive works with Apple's USB-C AV Multiport adapter, and I've been told by Apple support that it will work with Apple's USB-C to USB adapter, but haven't tested this. I can also confirm that it doesn't work with some non-Apple hubs that I've tried, which has always been the case. If anyone knows of any USB-C adapter made by anyone other than Apple on which a SuperDrive will work, I would very much like to know.
