Will this monitor work in 4k mode with a late 2013 15" retina MBP
I'd like to use this monitor with a late 2013 15" retina MBP. This laptop doesn't support 5k but I'm wondering if I can use this display at a 4k resolution.
If so, will there be any drawbacks? and what refresh rate can I expect? do I need to get a special adapter to connect my TB2 port to the monitor.
Main reason for doing this is I need a new wide gamut monitor for photography, but I'm not quite ready to update my laptop yet.

I tried this out finally. It does work for me at a maximum of 3560 X 1890. That is neither 4K nor 5K I believe. But you get something at least. This is useful to me, because I'll be able to connect my laptop at full 5K and my wife will be able to connect hers at a lower resolution but better than nothing. The 2013 MBP I used had the upgraded video card, so I am not sure if it works in all configurations. Also, I was not successful in getting a second 24" lower resolution monitor to work at the same time.
