Does the dock have a true audio line out ?
As per Apple online doc it's claimed that this dock features an audio line out and headphone out. How does it come?
If iPhone volume control works (which does) then it's not a fixed level audio output hence it's not a true line out but a double amping scenario which is exactly what i wanted to avoid when i purchased this dock.
Could you enlighten me?- Asked by Gonzalo V from Madrid

Can you plug in Apple EarPods / AirPods to the back of the dock and then take phone calls?
I use my headphones for 100% of my calls, and my work iPhone never leaves my desk. I thought this might be a nice solution as long as I can still make headphone calls while docked.

Why is this dock not suitable for the 7th generation ipod nano?
I've used my 7th gen nano with an old 30 pin dock and lightening adapter to connect to the analogue input of a JBL Flip, and I'm sure this gives superior sound quality compared to the bluetooth connection.

Can the volume be changed through the iPhone and headphone controls during music playback and calls?
I will probably connect it to a speaker with very limited volume control so it would be great if this allows volume changes from the phone itself.

Is this compatible with iphone 7 using 3.5mm headphones and charging at same time?
I use my iPhone 6+ on my desk a lot and sometimes want a private call with headphones rather than through the mac. As i am thinking of upgrading to iPhone 7+, does this allow iPhone 7 to charge and also plug in headphones for making phone calls?

How durable is the dock?
Considering the weight of the phone and the angle which the lightning connection is placed, what is the inclination that the phone would cause the dock to bend or that the force applied between phone and the dock would damage the lightning receptor/receiver within the iPhone?

How heavy is the iPhone dock?
Most iPhone docks are fairly light, which means that users have to use one hand to remove an iPhone while using the other hand to keep the dock on the table, nightstand, or other surface. Only a few iPhone docks seem to be heavy and dense enough that users can take their iPhones off of the dock without needing to use their other hand.
