How will these work for backwards compatibility, like a MacBook Pro?
I see that the new iPhone will include a male lightning to female co-axil adapter. Will there be a female lightning to male co-axil adapter as well? If not, how could I use these headphones with my MacBook Pro?

What is a "headphone splitter" (or "oxcord"?) that is compatible with these ear buds and iPhone 5s?
My daughter requested a headphones splitter for Christmas and I have no idea what that is. She also mentioned something about "oxcord"; also a foreign language to me. She has these ear Pods with Lightening Connector and an iPhone 5s. Please advise?

Do the new lightning earpods exhibit higher frequency response, lower self noise, or other advantages over the analog 3.5mm versions?
My understanding is that the Lightning connector sends digital audio, so it is not muddied up by the consumer grade headphone DAC/preamp of the old 3.5mm connector.

Can I use these with my Dell laptop at work?
I like to listen to music while working. Sometimes there's training videos I need to watch at my desk as well. I don't want to disturb those around me, so I use headphones... actually, the same earbuds that I use with my iPhone because they're what I have on me and it's really convenient.
