Has anybody really used CC kit to answer questions about Raw format?

Best Answer:The first answer is correct, but in my experience, the RAW/NEF/DNG preview on the ipad is only a thumbnail sized view of the original file. Of course it actually imports the original file intact and you can import this file back onto your computer, however, if you want to view your photos at 100% resolution on the iPad screen this won't do it.

Memory Usage
Am I correct that If I download a full card worth of photos, say a 10GB card, that it will NOT reduce my iPad's memory by 10GB because of resizing? And, if that is correct, how much does the resizing reduce the original volume of data from the card? 10GB from the card translates into using how much iPad memory after importing a full card?
- Asked by Anonymous A from Xxxxxxxxx

AnswerIf you have 10GB of photos that you transfer in, it will use 10GB of space on your iPad. But you can get that space back by transferring the photos to your Mac or PC or by removing unwanted photos directly from the iPad.
Also, you do not have to copy all of the photos from the card to your iPad -- you can choose which photos (or videos) that you want to transfer.- Answered by Anonymous A from Xxxxxxxxxx

Is there enough clearance for the USB adapter to fit on the iPad dock?
The iPad dock seems pretty thin, just wondering if it fits cleanly into the dock port on the back, or if it's too thick for that.

AnswerThe answer to your question is YES...you can plug the camera connection kit into the back of either dock and import your photos that way! It says so in the descriptions of both the keyboard dock and the standard dock!

I can understand the iPad converting NEFs to JPEGS for viewing, but can the iPAD be used to store the NEF files for later syncing to the desk top

AnswerYes.
When you plug the iPad into your computer, you can open it up like a USB drive and they'll be a DCIM folder with all the imported pictures.
One note: it does NOT keep the structure from your card (i.e. if your card has a specific naming format for the folders).- Answered by Anonymous A from Xxxxxx
