It's not much of either color. It's a weak beigey pink, but it's a washed out color. If you're considering this color, this is the one color I'd recommend seeing in person before you buy it.

If you anticipate dropping your iPad then this may not be the case for you. It seems that it would protect the iPad from scratches but not from impacts such as a drop.

I would suggest testing it with a leather Cleaner/Conditioner.

AnswerNo, the dimensions are different and the cut outs on the Air 2 case will not line up properly with the Air 1.

AnswerThe case is one piece but you can take the iPad out by just peeling the rear off of the ipad

Best Answer:Here's the comparison for those who like to cover their iPad Airs with Apple leather protection. Please note that for the original iPad Air there was only a leather cover (no case) whereas for the new Air 2 there is a leather "Smart Case" (no cover).
Original iPad Air (64GB, cellular): 475 grams plus cover 102 grams totals 577 grams.
iPad Air 2 (128GB, cellular): 439 grams plus case 150 grams totals 589 grams.
So the iPad Air 2 is a bit heavier than the original iPad Air when covered in Apple leather, however, this is a "Smart Case" and obviously a better protection than just a cover.- Answered by Helmut M from Harmony

I am having a problem trying to buy a case in red for my recent gift of Apple IPad Air Model MD/88B/B, to date I have purchased two cases which are Apple and both wrong, I would like the same which fits I Pad Air 2, no one at Apple seems to know what case will fit, please help. thank you
