    Good interface, bad connectors

The thunderbolt interface is definitely fast. I can easily push over 900Mbps with this adapter on our LAN. The only problems I have are, as others have mentioned, that the connector does not fit snugly and the cable is very rigid and does not bend easily. The whole thing just feels fragile. If I had it to do over I probably would have just opted for a usb3 gigabit Ethernet adapter from a third party. IMHO if you don't need the speed just go with the apply usb2 adapter over this one.

    works great! for a while

I got the thunderbolt adapter for my Macbook air because the place I was going to be at for a few months didn't have wifi. For the first three months of my stay I had absolutely zero trouble with it, but this past month it will occassionally disconnect but then a few minutes later will reconnect. It's been really iffy recently, and I've been a little bit concerned about plugging it into my computer. Hopefully I won't need it for too much longer, I'm not sure if it is meant to last more than a few months!

    Driver Issues

First off, this works GREAT on Mac OS X.
However, when running bootcamp, the Driver has many issues.
If it is unplugged, the computer must be restarted to connect again.
Driver, for some reason disables the computers abilt to enter sleep mode, only hibernate and shutdown

It works, but not good enough

Pros: transmission rate is high, works consistently most of the time
Cons: a lag of 30 sec to a minute before it connects to the network (can be really frustrating if you come back from a meeting and want to plug in for a quick internet connection); once in a while needs to disconnect and reconnect to refresh

I have both the USB to Ethernet and this adapter. I'd say the USB adapter is preferred unless (1) you need Gigabit ethernet, or (2) you have no spare USB port on your MacBook Pro/Air, because the USB adapter doesn't seem to work on a hub

    Very fast but.... (rMBP)

It is a very fast adapter, bought it for my rMBP to use at uni. the issue is that it falls out VERY easily, which is somewhat of an issue for me. when working at a desk its fine, but at other times it gets knocked even just a little and it disconnects and takes a while to reconnect. This is annoying!
