    horrible horrible horrible

Went through so many of these over the last few months, so angry and disappointed. The price is way too high for such a low quality wire.

    Horrible quality

If I could give it zero stars I would. I have bought 5 of these cords since December. Purchased an iPhone 5S. I now realize they are under warranty but their is no excuse for the horrible quality. Who wants to wait for a shipping or drive an hour to my closest Apple store that ridiculous. I have many 4S cables and they all still work. With that being said if they don't fix this ill probably won't purchase another iPhone, till the cable is fixed. If I can't charge my phone it does me no good.

    Falls to bits

Never have I had an Apple product fall apart. I have seen mis-treated Apple products come apart but never just decay. This is what my cord has done and continues to do, first at either end of the cord, down to the wires and now it is starting to decay along the cord even more. Shocking quality.

Product Designers Should Be Exiled From Silicon Valley

The cord is just 6 months old and inexplicably scrunches at bottom of small end. The cord suddenly stopped working and now I've got to buy a new one. A 1-star rating is far more generous than this...(expletive) deserves.

    iPhone 5 Chargers are HORRIFIC

Apple needs to improve the quality of iPhone 5 chargers or they are going to lose customers. You end up paying HUNDREDS of dollars in new chargers that only last about 1-3 months, if you're lucky. We have 4 iPhone 5's in our house and have had to buy at least 50 chargers in the past year. We have tried every retailer. It's the same with every one!

Lightning cord is absolute JUNK -- Zero stars!!

Even though I love my iPhone 5S, I am stunned at the extremely poor quality of the Lightning cord. I wish I'd found some of these reviews before I bought my iPhone, but honestly, I was researching the phone itself. It never occurred to me that the biggest problem I'd experience would be with the charger. My problem seems to be similar to most others'; after about six months, I noticed that if I was using the phone while charging, the connection would flicker. At first it was random and intermittent, but steadily got worse. I would have to set the phone on a solid surface and then move the cord until the phone was charging, then lay a book or something over the cord to keep it from moving out of place. Now it won't charge at all. There's no corrosion on the plug, so I'm sure it's a loose wire somewhere inside the cord. What a disappointment! I've always been a huge Apple fan, but I will definitely not be buying an expensive replacement from Apple, especially if it will most likely have the same problem.

    RUBBISH

Worst Apple product I have ever had to use. I not even had my iPhone 6 months and I'm on my 5th charger!!! They say you can take them with your receipt to swap them but the nearest store to me is well over an hour away! Exactly the same has happened to both my mum and sister! They really need to realise and sort it out pronto.

    Overpriced junk

Expensive and breaks constantly. I've bought five already in the past six months. Seriously, Apple? People expect more from you. Total disappointment.

    WOULD RATE ZERO STARS

I AM ON MY 5TH CABLE IN JUST 7 MONTHS. I TAKE CARE OF THE CABLES AND THEY END UP JUST SHORTING AND BREAKING. NEARLY EVERYONE I KNOW HAS HAD SIMILAR ISSUES. IF YOU DO NOT FIX THIS ISSUE I WILL NO LONGER BE AN APPLE CUSTOMER AND CERTAINLY SWITCH TO SAMSUNG.

    Appalling quality

Now on to my third lead in just over a year. I am astonished that apple have failed to get this right, a good quality charging lead would seem to be a pretty basic requirement.

    Flawed design

I'm adding my frustration with the quality of the Apple supplied lightening to USB Cable or it's docking port, for the mini ipad2 I own, to the long list of other contributors and repeat the request that Apple address this recurrent problem ASAP.

The reason I will no longer buy another iphone again.

The worst thing that can happen to apple products. This cable and connector ruined my experience with apple. I used to buy Iphones every year but since the Iphone 5 i was hesitant to get the 5s after having changed cables an actual 11 times since I got the iphone 5 on launch. The cables were all left at home and always had problems charging after a few weeks , I tried dealing with the problem and not making a big deal about it but now these cables and the ways you gotta move them to make them work have damaged the connector of my iphone and now I have to change the Iphone for even a new cable to work on it, will I buy another iphone because of a cable? Never again if it will be a lightning connector Iphone. Never again.

    Extremely Unimpressed

I am so frustrated by having to constantly buy new iphone 5S cables. after a few weeks, they start intermittently charging/not charging, and if i plug the cable into my MacBook Air the charging sound bleeps constantly twice per second. This means I cannot upload my pictures to aperture or sync the phone to iTunes. I went into the Apple store to report this thinking it was my MBA that was the issue, and the Genius Bar guy said it was more likely the cable that was faulty. He plugged my iPhone into my MBA with his Genius Bar Cable, which had blue INSULATING TAPE on the section of the cable that is susceptible to the damage. So if Apples cables are becoming damaged, surely they can sort it out and make a change to the material they use to make them. I usually love apple design and i do like the connector on the cable, I just wish they had used a better quality sleeve for the cable. If the motivation was "less plastic used, happier planet" then they have failed to consider that I have had to dispose of more cables this year that I have since the first iPhone came out. Absolute Mince.

    Cable stopped working

After some months I was having issues for my iPhone 5 to charge, I knew it was the cable because depending on how you move it, it will work or not. Some day it completely stopped working, after taking the cable apart, voilà! One of the internal cables was cut in half. For the record, I keep the cable in the bedroom and never ever take if from there. The cable had the minimum work load a cable may have and never took it outside the room. 'The chain is as strong as the weakest link.

    Disgraceful quality

This product deserves 0 stars. The last one I bought was broken right from the box. They last about 3 months even though I try so hard to be gentle with them. They are unusable for my disabled young adult. He is now forbidden to charge his own iPad as his poor motor skills result in a new cable almost immediately. Apple was a leader in accessibility but what good are all those clever adaptations if a person with poor motor skills can't charge their own device. Shame on Apple!!!!!
