    worst charger ever

I got my iPhone 5c in December and so far I have been through 3 charger. I Have to spend time playing with the cord for it to work. The original iPhone charger were much better and lasted much longer.

    Listen Up Apple

I'm so sick of this charging cable that I'm ready to dump your products and get something else. Improve this garbage cable, give loyal customers who've been forced to buy several of these per year, just for the pleasure of owning your small-screened phones, a complimentary cable with the new design. Please tell me that quality and innovation didn't die with Steve Jobs- he would be ashamed of this cable- a product is as strong as it's weakest link- and over 1000 1-star reviews should tell you that the consumer has identified that weak link.

     worst charger ever

After like 4 months my charger just stopped working, I guess it bends the inner cords easily at the plug in to your phone, I've gone through 2 chargers already. It's annoying that when I do find the right position for my phone to charge I can't touch it.

    Short lived

Had my iPhone 5s for 8 months and I'm now about to buy my 4th USB cable. This is really annoying because I've been extra careful with my last one and it's still stopped working like all the rest

    These cables wear out fast!

These cables are very disappointing. They wear out extremely fast from normal use. The cable begins to bunch up near the end that connects to the phone and eventually they don't work at all. I have already gone through three of them and I have only had my phone for one year.

Bad bad bad bad lightning cables!!!!

Had to replace 3 cables so far for 2 iPad Airs and iPhone 5 and 5S so far. These cables are expensive and they don't last as long. Terrible cables from Apple. My older 30-pin cable lasted much much longer on my older 4S than these new and supposedly improve lighting cable! Every disappointed in these lighting cables. Bad bad bad quality cables!

    Terrible product

Wish apple made its usb cables as good as its other products. They dont even replace the cables even if it is in warranty, saying that since it is physically damaged we wont replace it. If you are putting such a high price on your cables it should last for more than a year atleast.

Apple should replace these for free

I have bought two lightning cables in addition to the 1 that came with my iPhone 5. Both that were purchased are "certified'. But in less than a year they have all deteriorated (at the iPhone plug side)! I first noticed the rubber/plastic part wearing down and exposing the wires. I thought it was just that 1 but now I've noticed all 3 of them are experiencing the same wear/tear. I am very disappointed Apple! Please make them better. :-(

    Waste of money!

I've had my ipad 4 since November and iphone 5 since just before Christmas, my ipad cable lasted for 3 months and my iphone cable lasted just 3! Since then I have purchased 4 more which have all broken. I'm sick to death of forking out for these poxy cables when the ipad & iphone were so expensive to begin with. Apple really need to rethink these lightening cables because they are a joke! If I didn't need my iphone to Facetime my other half in the Army when he's overseas (better call quality than skype) I would go back to using my Android, at least their chargers don't fall apart every 5 minutes!

    Criminal

I have purchased an ipad mini (for personal use) and been given an ipad air (for corporate use) within the past 2 months. Both of these new style charging cables, fresh from the box, have stopped charging my devices. I would have been less upset if I thought it to be potentially a one-off problem, however, this issue appears to be a fundamental flaw with the product rather than an outlier event. It should be criminal for a company to produce premium priced devices which are fitted with non-industry standard peripherals. This would be excusable if the cable actually worked (let alone provided a tangible benefit over-and-above industry standard). Why Apple has delayed recalling the cable is a mystery. It is not enough to be able to walk into a shop an replace every 2 months. This costs me £4.40 in tube fare and takes an hour of my time (priceless).

    Hopeless

A bloody hopeless person made this cable thinking they can stop the 3rd parties by putting the chip in the wire but the overall quality they forgot to upgrade.
I don't mind paying $25 for a cable but give me a cable which would last a lifetime not just 6 months.

    Another dissatisfied customer

Given that Apple is so touchy about their products, you'd think they'd produce something that actually worked. I've purchase 2 new "certified" cables and neither of them work! Ever! Absolutely unacceptable.

    Its true... they don't last

I'm bummed that almost 2 years after intro if lightning cable it still costs $19, I have gone through several of these, they kind of bunch up near the lightning connector and then you have to wiggle you phone repeatedly to get it to work until they eventually die. Tried a generic once and it was worse!! Please Apple either fix them or at least make them cheaper!!

    Charger cord HORRIBLE.

This is the second one I have gone through in three months. The first one I used in my house and set it on my night stand when charging and it all the sudden stopped working and started not charging. This current one that I have I use in my car and yesterday just stopped working, I know it is the cable and not the outlet in the car because I hooked the cord into my computer this morning and it still did not work. These cords are not cheap and to keep having to buy more and more is ridiculous. My contract is up soon and if this keeps happening I may have to switch from Apple iPhone to the Samsung Galaxy.

Out of 6 original Apple lightning cables, none of them work after 8 weeks!

These cables wear out extremely quickly and my iPhone and iPad then complain they aren't original Apple cable (I bought them from Apple!).
This is very disappointing for an Apple product! Is there a redesign in sight?

    Same issue as everyone else.

My issue is the same being experienced by what appears to be quite a number of consumers. The cable twists where it connects to the lightning pin, and then refuses to work unless manipulated.

My last charging cable experienced the same issue, and eventually ceased to work altogether. My current one is now doing the same thing.

At $25 a cable, this is ridiculous. I expect a lot more from Apple.

    Certified to Fail

I bought two "CERTIFIED" Apple lightning cables from my local Apple retailer and within 3 weeks neither of them was recognized by my iPhone5. At $15.00 apiece you would think these things would work.

I've had the same cable for nearly a year with no issues. I always pull the cable out by the actual end rather than just yanking the cable as most people do. Also it's good to clean the inside of the lightning port as it gets dirty and can make your cables stop working! Just some words of advice love this charger. So much better than the 30-pin!
