    Great Product

This is a great product. Works continuously fine for me and love the dual side charging.

For people that keep buying new cords, as long as your product is under warranty you can exchange for a new one as long as it is naturally defective.

    Useless and weak

Everyone's said it, and I completely agree. After a few months, the end bit with the 8-pin adapter starts to bend, then it only works at specific angles, then it wont charge from a computer, then it just stops working. For a company like apple to produce something that seems like it's made by a toddler. It needs to be far more robust, I've had many cables with other phones and even iPods and none have been this weak. Needs sorting out, with free replacements, and it certainly isn't fair to charge everyone £15 for something that costs more like 15p to make judging by the quality.

    WORST CHARGER EVER MADE

My family has 5 different Apple products that use the new lightening cable and after only 4 months, we are down to one. Each one has split, broken or just stopped working. We have bought several replacements and each break within weeks. They bend too easily and the heads pop off the cord too easily. You would think with a 500 dollar phone they would make something with better quality, built to last as long as the phone. Never had this problem with the old chargers. They need to upgrade or at least offer free trade ins with the broken chargers. Unfortunately, I am off, once again, to the Apple store to shell out another 20 dollars on these awful chargers.

    TERRIBLE!!

3 cables are bad already in a few months. Bought off brand and taped the cord at the connector to make it stiff. So far so good. However, I will continue to send back the bad cables and get replacements. Poor quality. I would expect better from Apple.

    Don't like the cables

Poor quality. Phone is less then a year old and the cable is broke. Apple should do something about this. I would give zero stars if it was allowed.

    Faulty chargers!!!

Okay I am saying the same as everybody else I know, but its true!!!! I have iPhone 5, got through 2 cables as they just stop working! Just bought ipad mini and the cable that comes with it died within weeks, phone chargers work slowly and don't register as charging!!!! At wits end need new high powered charger for ipad and no idea what to do!!! Pay or go cheap? As will need another one anyway!!!

Apple please take note - we are not clumsy, it's your cables burning out!!!! Do something now!!!! Or replace genuine cables as standard as there is a design fault !

    Dangerous.

The original cord shocked me because it fell apart at the end. Being an electrician its nothing new to me but out of a consumer product that kids can get their hands on it made me a wee bit enraged. I deal with wire daily and i dont understand why apple uses such junk. Its not that hard apple! Listen to your loyal people!

    terrible quality

I had one that I got with the phone and it broke within 6 months, then I bought another one and it lasted only 3 months before it broke. The cord gets all bent out of shape and stops charging the phone.

    Junk

Greatly disappointed that my new lightning cable has stopped working and left me stranded with a dead phone. Did anyone do testing on this piece of Junk? Where's my refund!

    Disgusting

When I use this cable to charge my phone, I have to use an extension cable just to use my phone. Also, when on charge the cable causes my phone to electrocute me. Furthermore, the casing of the cable has split constantly and I am using insulating tape so I am not electrocuted by the bare wire. It's a joke, and down right outrageous that it is £15 to buy a replacement. You don't buy a £500 phone to be given a cable that has broken after less tan 1 years usage. I'm praying that the same doesn't happen to my Macbook cable as they look similar in design.

Definitely not built to last! Send it back!

I think the lightning cable charges incredibly fast but is very poorly made. My cable for my Ipad 4 Retina worked for 7 months then broke, just like all the others reported. I'd have sent mine back but it later burst totally as a result of someone standing on it. If you continue to return these to Apple, then they will have to do something about it. Don't keep buying them - KEEP RETURNING THEM.

    REDICULOUS!!

I have had 16 of these chargers, since i got the phone in oct 2013. it all of a sudden stops working. i even resorted to using the cheap ones from grainger games who kindly exchange if its faulty yet recently they all seemed to be sold out! because they are all rubbish! and clearly everyone is having to buy them again and again and again!!!!!!!!

    Not worth the money!

Same as most, cable doesnt charge properly as where the charger enters the device the cBle is breaking! Unacceptable as only had the phone 3 months!

    Broken AGAIN

This is the FOURTH, yes I repeat FOURTH, iPhone cord I have had that has broken and wont charge my phone. I'm livid at the fact that I have to keep buying new ones and I haven't even had my phone for a year yet... and the chargers last about 2 months. I don't understand that at ALL. I've now spent half of what my iPhone cost, when I first got it, on chargers for it.

    Not happy!!

    Cable is not strong enough

Bought a new phone on Friday, rolled the cable around the phone and dropped it in my bag. After a 2 hour train journey it would not work. I had it replaced, but given the other reviews on this page I am not going to pay for an Apple version if this one breaks as well. I will look at some OEM cables that look less flimsy from ebay instead

I have had cables for other phones for years, and they look wrecked, but all have continued to work.

I like the slot in adapter, but the cable needs to be bullet proof !

    this cord is complete garbage

My phone was purchased in february and i haven't had a problem with the cord until this past weekend. It started giving me a warning saying that charging wasn't supported and then tonight i try to straighten it out and one of the wires in it breaks and I'm stuck with no phone. Apple really needs to create a heavier duty wire for this phone.

    DON'T BUY IT

This is by far the worst product apple has invented the cable always comes loose or snaps right at the top but the adapter and to cost £15 for it to brake again is a complete rip off. APPLE SORT IT OUT!

Expect to buy a few of these

My husband and I both got the iPhone 5 at the same time, and we have 2 chargers. Both of our chargers stopped working after 3 months. If we are going to be buying chargers every 3 months while we have this phone, its not worth it.

    Worst cable ever.

I never had this kind of problem with a cable like this, it could have been better if apple never changed the cable to the next gen ipods and iphones. I have a 5th gen ipod touch and now that the cable doesnt work for me then i feel like the ipod is useless to me. I'm going for my 2nd usb cable, its been 2 months passed that i got an ipod. Dissapointed
