    This is ridiculous

Man I just brought this charger less then a month ago I can't believe it's broken already! I'm extremely up set because of apples greed of making you pay all that money for a charger that has the life span of a dandelion!

    Flimsy and Broken

It's a great design, but the thing is very very flimsy and easily breakable. The wires near the end of the cord (where it connects to the phone) break very easily. And mine doesn't come under the warranty just because I tried putting tape around it to see if that would work. My advice to the people who have these cords is to be flippin' gentle with how you put the cord in or out of the phone.

Buying Cable Barons cables from now on

With a new iPad mini ad iPhone, it was time for me to buy a few cables. I purchased one of these cables, but have since switched to buying my cables from Cable Barons. They're similar to the Apple Lightning to USB cables, but are reinforced with a fabric external skin. Australian based guys. Haven't received yet, but looks good so far!

    Absolutely ridiculous product ever made

If Apple can make such a nice piece of work then this one is the horrible. Make one that's durable and not the one that easily breaks. This makes me think it's made not to last so you can get people to spend more money than they should. This is very frustrating!!!!

I cannot beleive Apple could endorse this peace of &*"/!

I have 5 ipods and an Ipad. Since the model went 8 pin, (mini) they come apart in less then a month. I mean, i connect my machines everyday and the inside wiring is so small and the tension needed to connect and disconnect the ipads is high, so within weeks, the contacts loosen up and it autodestructs itself. IT is obviously a design flaw.. a major one at that.. I will no longer buy any Ipods, i'm selling my ipad for tablette, and good ridance.. That's what you call a real flop that cable... nuls any benifit from having an Ipod or Ipad. APPLE, Get your stuff together.. your loosing clients that made you what you are today.!!!

    Not happy

In our house we have 2 iphone 5's, 1 ipad, 4 ipod touch's, all which have the same charger cord as the iphone 5. After 3 months only one cord still works.

So angry! I hate this cable!

Had the 5th gen ipod touch since January and gone through 3 of these cables! all breaking in the same way as most people describe! do not understand how Apple can charge £15 for a replacement cable that is just going to break after a month or so! makes me so angry!!!!!! I was planning to get an iphone 5 when my upgrade is available but this is really making me think twice! I can't afford to replace the cables every few weeks! Ridiculous! Please improve these cables apple! :( Would give 0 stars if this was an option. Extremely angry!

    disappointment

okay so i've heard from a few of my friends that iphone 5 chargers are absolutely horrible, i didn't agree with them till now. they had to constantly purchase lightning cables due to the poor quality of the charger.

a few weeks ago my charger started playing up on me but it was still working alright. but last night, i had to move it around until it started charging, and all night i could hear it connecting and disconnecting every time i moved the cord the slightest bit, which was so annoying.

reading through the reviews, i'm lucky enough that my charger lasted 5 months, not like many others lasting a week or so. i have no choice but to buy my 2nd charger i guess.. but like others had mentioned, the previous chargers were fine. APPLE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND BRING OUT A NEW AND MORE DURABLE LIGHTNING CABLE. please!! it's so disappointing.
i'm hoping that my 2nd charger can last as long as my first one lasted, at least that lasted 5 months and not a week-a month. this is ridiculous.

    Poor durability

the rubber outing tubing of my Lightning cable has started to come apart less than 6 months into use. It's quite disappointing that Apple has made it tougher like they have with previous non-Lightning phone recharge cables.

    Bad product wires pull apart

It stopped working . The issue is the 4 wires are badly soldered and pull out of the circuit.

Very bad cheap workmanship. Got 2 months out of it.

Very bad look apple. Save a few bucks and turn people off.

    rubbish

This is the most over priced hunk of cable in the world !! It will last about 2-3 weeks and here I am buying another!
Can apple start replacing these units for free? or put a warranty? doubt it.

    Useless

Similar to everyone else, my other cables work fine, but less than 6 months of using my iPhone 5 the cable has broken and I have had to split it open to do a manual fix. HORRIBLE quality!

AND, on top of that, they want to charge you $35 for a replacement???

Cables are flawed - Should be recalled and replaced

When my iphone4 died 3 days before going remote for a week on a job I brought a new iphone5, excited and not expecting any problems I took it away. within the week of purchase, while 3 hours away from Melbourne I had a flat phone that wouldn't charge, perseverance eventually got it to charge, but it was hit and miss. That early in the piece no one had the after market cable so I was screwed. I brought one on ebay and it worked well for about 4 months till it too became flakey. My wife's 4 also died early on and her cable was bad too, we took it back to the telstra shop and it worked fine, got it back to work and it was playing up. I ordered another cable and it lasted a short while but for the most part we have been sharing one charger with a 3rd party cable. Today I purchased 2 more new cables from the Apple Shop, and straight out of the box I had trouble with one, the other worked fine, later trying to work out which was faulty to take back and they are both working??? Come on apple I can't imagine life without an iphone, specially the 5 with 4G/LTE but this cable is unfit for distribution.

    Flimsy and poor design

The new lightning cable will stop working after only a few weeks! This is horrible! And judgin from the reviews, I'm not the only one to face this problem. This thing wasn't an issue with the old cable. I hate this cable.

    ABSOLUTE RUBBISH

2 months after i bought my iPod Touch 5th gen the cable became weak and bent and eventually stopped working. My sister got the same product for Christmas and 2 months after the cable did the same thing. she took it back and got a replacement for free but just 2 weeks afterwards it just stopped working. It doesn't look broken but it isn't functioning at all. I am not happy at all
