    European Travelers

For the reviewers in Italy and Switzerland you just need a little enginurity and it works great. This is because Italy (L) and CH(J) have minor variations on the normal europe plug (C) and even Poland and Germany have E and F variations, but as someone who has family in all those places, these plugs work fine every single time. If you happen to come across an L or a J that has a safety, push it in with a paperclip and the safety will open and since the middle one is ground you are ok. If you encounter an older (E F) - non europlug (C) the same is true, it always works, just means you have to be creative with the positioning.

As for the hotel people in one review saying "this isnt swiss", well, not sure what to say, if that hotel has a normal J type this adapter fits perfectly. Unless your hotel has the very outdated type 14 socket, which I'd be slightly affraid of, and I doubt you encountered a type 15 or Type 23. I'm guessing you didnt bring the right one. I've been to Switzerland 6 times in the last 2 months, worked every single time.

    World Travel Adapter Kit...Really!?!

Quite often useless. Should be called Only Part of the World (probably the part of the world you're traveling to) Travel Adapter Kitchen

    no Africa!

Ok, I admit I didn't read through the entire description. I guess when I read "World" travel adapter kit I assumed that would include Africa. It is an entire continent! Fail

    Misleading Item Description

I am one of the many who were disappointed with this product. It does not include USB ports which makes it unusable for iPhone. Yes, I could have found this out if I had read more of the reviews before I ordered it, but I trusted the description provided by Apple instead. I received it just before my trip and was unable to return it because by the time I got home more than 15 days had elapsed. I ended up borrowing others' adapters in Germany and buying one in UK. Lesson learned.

    Excellent quality, feels safer

Great quality accessory, good price. I feel much safer plugging my devices into foreign mains when using this, which I know will work, than when using third party adapters. I have had devices destroyed before but sketchy adapters, and I'm glad I no longer have to worry about that.

    Purchased this for a trip

This adapter is poorly made and described to me as a replacement for power adapter. Very difficult to change plugs and just plastic junk. Apple should be ashamed. Not usable,

    comprehensive but....

Comprehensive collection of adapters but missing THE essential component for iPod,iphone etc...the USB block. My phone etc is supplied with a compact uk plug which does not have the removable pin block so I now need to buy a 12v USB power adapter to use the traveller kit adding a further £19 to the cost :(

    Quality product and delivery

Delighted to find it has all three round two pin adapters (thick, thin, thin angled) so no more forcing to into "wrong" socket in Europe or Brazil. I ordered late on a Friday with expected delivery the following Tuesday. In fact the package appeared next day. It work as expected. All impressive.

Great Product, but people need to read what they are buying.

Honestly, the only thing Apple is doing wrong, is not reviewing what all those people that complain are actually complaining without reading what they have bought..

So sad... People wake up, this is a great product, been using it for over 3 years.. No it doesn't covnvert electricity, what it does do is enable you to plug your apple products into about any electric outlet in the world..

    Very cool!!

It's an ADAPTER - not a charger, just like it says

I'm cracking up at low star ratings for those who are buying a great product they don't understand. No it doesn't include the charger - that's why it's called an adapter for your charger. This is like giving new tires a poor rating because they didn't come with a car. These fit your existing chargers but not the small 5w cube charger that comes with the iPhone.

Fair enough, but APPLE, I see this as your opportunity to do what you do best in web usability; you could make it more clear with imagery how it works and you won't get one-star ratings from those who don't read the information. It's upon you to make it simple for the lowest common denominator, and stand by the web usability axion "don't make me think!" You have my five star rating.

Take great exception to the "Don't complain" reviewer

The product description is indeed extremely misleading. I quote "The kit is designed to work with iPod, iPhone, and iPad." No indication that the converters only fit the MagSafe Power Converters. I bought the adapters for a trip to Ireland with my girlfriend. I thought I had done well. Luckily, I opened a box a few hours before our flight, and realized that they were not compatible with the iPhone 5 charger. Went to an Apple Store, and they were totally clueless about how to help me. Only one of the employees knew that I needed an additional converter (not mentioned on any of the product information online), and, of course, the store didn't have one! So, luckily, I was able to find plug adapters at a very good electronics store and saved the day! Extremely doubtful if I will will ever buy an Apple accessory again-sure, the simple package design might be aesthetically pleasing, but it is often at the expense of necessary information.

    Be sure before you buy

We bought this adapter two weeks ago for a trip to Italy. We stayed in two very nice hotels. This adapter did not fit in any outlet, and we tried them everywhere. Not one. Fortunately we happened to have brought another generic adapter that did work. Please be very sure the adapter works in your locations, Italy not so well. Back home and happier.

Why should I buy a full set?

I don't travel all around the world, and where I do travel, I only need one type of adaptor (and I go there a lot). Consequently, if I lose it, or simply want an extra one, I have to buy another set and double the number of those other adaptors I don't need. I appreciate the quality as compared to the generic versions, but making me buy lots of extra stuff I don't need is a Walgreens approach.

    Good Product

Its a good adapter but it does not have a USB port and I struggled with that while travelling, but thankfully I had my Macbook which had a USB port to charge my phone.

    This kit is problematic

First of all, there are seven different adapters in this box, including one for the UK, which doesn't make sense, given that it's sold in the UK. Anyway, I only need an adapter for North America, not the whole world. So now I have 6 adapters that are totally useless to me. I've had to pay £25 for the use of one adapter, which is a tiny piece of plastic with two bits of metal and weighs a couple of grams. Crazy. The second issue is that the adapter doesn't have a cord! It attaches to the power box, which then gets plugged directly into the socket, so the big power box goes straight into the socket and the total length of cord is now halved. Insane! Before buying this product, I phoned customer service and stated specifically three times that I needed a Power Adapter Extension Cable (the exact name used on the website), but with prongs for North America. She said what I needed is the multi-prong adapter kit. Well, actually, it turns out to not be what I need. So I've made a long journey into London and battled heaving throngs of people to buy something that isn't what I asked for, and now have to go all the way back into London to return it. I am not pleased. I am leaving the country in two days and I don't have time for this hassle! Please advise your customer service people better, offer the option of buying only one adapter as needed, and please attach a cord!!

Don't complain if you don't read or understand a product's description!

Good grief people! Pay attention before you buy! Those of you who complain on here because you were expecting a plug with the kit when the pictures clearly show only adapters ... really! Those complaining that it only works with the "larger plug" ... when the description clearly describes the plugs the adapters fit on ... really! This is a great product for those of us who travel to multiple countries and have the convenience with this kit to swap out the prongs on the "big plug" instead of using an add-on device. For those that complain that they had to buy the whole kit for 1 plug .... really! If you are only going to one country, you should just go buy a single adapter plug of which there are dozens out there that add to the end of the plug. For those of you who complain that they can't read gray print on a white background ... I do kind of agree that the letters could be more visible in black, but since all of apple details on their plugs and other media is gray on white, this product labeling is nothing new with Apple. I just never understand why people come on here and bash a product because of their mistake by not paying attention to the details before they buy.

    A very useful kit

The kit contains seven adapters for practically all popular plug standards in the world and it's modularity is extremely useful.
I'd only wish there was a 50 EUR/40 GBP set of those adapters together with a cable and a 10-12 W charger, so that this indeed would be a kit that you can do something with.

    DO NOT PURCHASE

I LOVE apple products! I have not bought anything else in the last (around) 10 years, but this is arguably the WORST thing I have spent my money on. I never write reviews for products (this is my first one) but I have had a terrible experience. Luckily I had an adapter for Italy and my dad had lent me his old iPhone charger or else I would not have been able to charge my laptop. This kit did NOTHING. I tried all the plugs and none of them fit. Also my roommate had just taken the one for italy (since the box says that that one is good for "continental europe" but she hasnt been able to fit her plug into the outlet here in italy. I rarely say that anything is a waste of money (it may not work 100% as planned or something like that), but this is 100% a WASTE OF MONEY!!!! buy an adapter somewhere for less than $20 and plug you apple charge into that. I haven't had problems yet, regardless of what apple store employees tell you.
