    Great Protection

Have my iPad Air 2 smart case in midnight blue....color doesn't really matter. Was involved in an accident and this iPad went flying...bounced off a table and rolled down the hallway....pretty far actually.....No damage to my iPad at all. That's what it is all about, right? Good work Apple!

"Wear and tear" less than 12 months

iPad falls out in less than one year because it loosens up around the iPad. Apple Store tells me it is wear and tear and cannot do anything about it- suggests I buy a new one for AU$129!!

    No protection

I love the look of this case but if you drop your iPad it will crack. Please save your money and don't buy this case.

    Not-so-smart case

Can't plug in the cable to charge the iPad because the hole is cut in the wrong place and the iPad doesn't wake on opening. I shall be returning this for an exchange if this happens to be a one-off, or a full refund if it's down to poor design and they're all the same. Not impressed

    Good, but not perfect

Quite a nice case, especially in Product Red colour. It looks and feels well made, the leather appears to be good quality and the iPad fits snugly into the case. We'll see how well it stands up to prolonged use, but first impressions are favourable.
However, for £65 I would expect the iPad to fit perfectly. There is a very annoying 2mm rim around the entire case which means that the front face of the tablet is not flush with the case. I suspect that the design was not updated when the iPad 2 was, hence the discrepancy between the depths of the case and the iPad. The Lightning connector is also difficult to slip into place as the hole is a little too snug on my case, so I suspect that it will wear here with repeated use.
All in all, a nice case, but for £65 I didn't expect it to have these issues.

    Very nice case, works well

I've had this case for almost a year and it works very well. It feels nice, and protects my iPad. I use it in my car every day for work as a driving instructor, opening and closing it several times an hour and it is holding up nicely. It has a few slight scuff marks where it has been dropped on asphalt and from constant handling, and it has hit the back of the front seat a few times during emergency braking, but the iPad itself has never been damaged. Although it's used so much it's hardly showing any wear at all. Some reviews have mentioned that it's a bit hard to open, which I agree with, but if you move the cover slightly to one side it's easy to catch the edge with your fingers and open it. I've had no problems at all with alignment or fit - the iPad has never looked like falling out of the case (but I never take it out, either, so maybe the people who have problems with it being loose either take the iPad in and out all the time, or got the wrong cover for their iPad). All up, a nice product that's very useful and usable.

    Excellent case, beautifully engineered

The case fits extremely snugly and is beautifully engineered so that every port, lens and speaker aperture is precisely aligned. The leather seems pretty tough and resistant to fading or scratches, but the case will acquire its own patina over time. A perfect complement to the iPad.

    After all the negative reviews

As with all Apple products that I have bought over the years, it is expensive, but, it works, and looks like it will last.

    Very Disappointing

The folding lid doesn't support the IPad very well but the main criticism is that the cut-out for the camera lens is in the wrong place! It obscures half the field of view. Also, the button in the case are not very responsive and need extra effort to use. The case is going back for a refund tomorrow and I'll buy a much cheaper alternative instead.

Not Blue, but the same case...

I would recommend it to anyone wanting to use your iPad for daily use, aside from from my hobby time, with the knowledge that if you have a 'butter fingers' moment your chances of your iPad Air 2 surviving without any damage is very high.

Best case for the iPad is you want quality

I bought this case for my iPad after buying a third party case from amazon. Although the original case I bought was cheap at only £10 and fitted the iPad well, it only took a couple of months before the plastic sides had cracked and the device became loose. I thought about buying another third party case but I thought it was just not cost effective. I therefore took a punt and bought a genuine apple product.

I can't believe the difference in quality of this case, and of course it should be for the price, but it's in a whole different league. when the case is closed there are no exposed areas of the device and it sits in there solidly and neatly. The leather finish is delightful to hold and gives you a solid grip.

I would have given it 5 stars, but there is one niggle. When the iPad is in the case there is a lip around the edge that sticks up too far in my opinion. Another reviewer on here said it makes the case feel as if it was designed for the Air 1, and I would have to agree. If apple had shaved an extra mm of the lip it would have been the perfect case.

But honestly don't let it put you off.

    iPad Air 2 case

I've had this product for about 1 week and it is the best case on the market. A smooth felling of good quality material and great functionality overall best case I have ever owned, no doubt about it.
