I had purchased a pair of black ones in the beginning of 2015 to use at the gym to work out. I was impressed on how stylish it look on top of that the sound quality was great. I paticulary got these because I was tired of the chord getting tangled up on the weights and so forth.

Well about a month into using them, nearly 5 times a week and about 2-4 hours at a time, a small crack on the side popes up. I had never dropped them nor hit a weight with them. The crack started to grow and grow.. kinda dissapointed me knowing I had paid $400 for a pair of head phones trusting apple that for paying THAT much the DURRABILTY would be a little bit better than that.

So then after another couple months pass I noticed that the ear muff's material was coming undone. Exposing the foam. By now I was very upset. I couldn't believe I paid $400 freakin dollars for a pair of headphones that are falling apart right in front of me within 4 months I've had them. I continued to use them for another 6 months or so and both of the ear muff's material have come undone and the crack has grown all the way across the aide of the headphones exposing the wiring. They sit on my self now haven't used them in over 4 months..

From someone who has had expensive headphones from different brands...

So i've had wired expensive headphones from all sorts of brands and I bought these purely because I wanted a wireless headphone and would sacrifice sound quality to get it. WOW, I am totally surprised how good these headphones sound. I listen to a mix of Latin, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, Classical and it all sounded pretty good. Only maybe the classical and jazz could I say that I could tell a difference in quality(and not by that much).

The Noise Cancelling is very good.

They are very comfortable, light, and fit well and i have a big head so that was a relief.

Battery life they easily last 10 hours.

Look, are they expensive? yes... Here's the thing, aside from these Beats and the Sennheiser Momentum's (which was my first choice but too expensive), the rest of the headphones out there look terrible. These are definitely a crowd puller and i've been getting asked about them all day. So, is the extra $100-200 worth it, well that depends on if you want to wear something stylish or not. PS: I have the special edition Matt Black Finish colour, it looks cool and classy.

These headphones are a totally enjoyable listening experience. Highly recommend it. The 4 is because of the price.

PS: When I first listened to them out of the box the sound was terrible, with excessive highs, very little bass and almost no mids. I used it for approx 1 hour and also the battery wentfrom 5 to 3 lights in that time. I left them overnight charging and trying them again this morning was a totally different experience both in sound and battery life. I believe it requires some sort "breaking in period" and a recharge overnight when first out of the box.

The headphone I love, just improved.

I used to have my old gen Beats Studio headphones, I recently bought this new pair from my local apple retail and I really like them, especially when I listen to pop songs and those which has lot of bass effect, this looks much more slim compare with the old ones and they are more comfortable is well, but still, after 2 or 3 hours wearing them, still hurt my ear, but overall, great headphones.

    Really, really good...

I do own quite a lot of headphones / earphones as no one pair will be best for everything - so have managed to do quite a few comparisons. The Beats Studio Wireless certainly sound better (to my ears) than either the Bowers & Wilkins P5, Bose QC15 or Bose AE2W. They have the benefits of the Bose QC15 (having noise cancellation) and Bose AE2W (being wireless but no noise cancellation) so really the best of both in terms of features and sound better than either.

Although not my primary concern they also 'look' better than either of the Bose headsets and although I was also considering the Bose QC25 the Beats Studio Wireless sound / look great and can be used wireless or wired.

    Love my Studio Beats

I've had these about 3 months and have never been sorry. Totally reliable and they pair easily with my devices (iPhone, iPad and iMac). The sound is great and they are comfortable over the ears. No complaints whatsoever - just praise!

    Tight Fit

The "Rubber Band" was really Tight and comfortable, Feels smooth, and the sound quality? It sounds quite smooth just like it's competitors! I even went on a roller coaster with these on, and at the end, AMAZING! They didn't fall off! Great job Dr. Dre. I would be really satisfied with this. Overall, I am satisfied.

    Awesome Bluetooth Headphones

Build: This headset feels pretty solid and not flimsy. It definitely won't survive someone stepping on it, but rigid enough such that it's a joy to put your hands on. Although the matte colour feels like a finger print magnet so you might have to be prepared to have a cleaning cloth (included in box) to wipe it down after use each time. The weight is just about right such that listening to it for 2 hours straight doesn't cause a strain on my neck.

Sound: I will not say I'm an expert at audio quality. The music comes out crisp and clear so that's enough by my standards. Many of the review sites I visited have said that music with lots of bass would play better with this pair of headphones. I can't disagree with that. I listen to a span of different genres of music and have found all of them a pleasure to listen with.

Features: Connecting via Bluetooth was a matter of seconds. It has play/forward/rewind/pause/volume function integrated on the headset. It is able to take calls as well with the inbuilt mic. However with the headset on (and the somewhat noise cancelling effect), I feel like I tend to talk a lot louder than I should be - So unless you're in a private place, I would recommend answering calls with the phone itself (just to be polite I suppose).

Battery: After using the headset for about 4 hours, the Bluetooth icon on the iPhone shows the battery life of your headset and it shows about 2/3 life remaining.

Conclusion: If I were asked are these a good pair of headphones, I would say yes and recommend them. The only reason for the 4 stars is the price. I would say it's a tad steep.

    Lovely headphones

Very happy with the sound quality, comfort and functionality. It's so nice being wireless. Unfortunately the build quality wasn't up to snuff. Padding in earpiece started to come apart after only 6 months. Bentall's Apple store were excellent though and sorted me out a replacement pair immediately.

    So uncomfortable

Worst head phones, the new and improved mat black wireless beats studio were so bad, cutting out all the time whilst I did stuff on my phone with them connected to it not forgetting the "over ear" headphones resting on the top of my ear making it severely uncomfortable after 45 minutes.

Ordered on a Sunday night and delivered on Tuesday. Sound is amazing, no distortion when using wireless, excellent tones, highs/lows are crystal clear. Easy to use buttons and controls.

Beautifully packaged and when opening the box each layer of packaging displays the items as if each layer is something new.

    1. They look amazing in matte black!
    2. Noise canceling is great, although not as good as Bose's QC 15's (in my opinion)
    3. Wireless is excellent and extremely easy and fast to setup.
    4. Sound quality is the best I've ever had from a pair of Beats; lovely warm, full sound, great base - without being over the top.
    5. Nice battery length - I used them for a 12 hour flight and still had battery left when we landed.

    I recommend

    WOW WOW WOW!!!

Picked mine up in Tokyo. Intended to get the Blk/Red Gloss to keep it original but swayed to the Matt Black. Initially still skeptical but once I opened the package I immediately knew I made the right decision. It's pretty, so pretty. Stealth swag is the best way to describe my first impression unboxing.

The sound is well rounded and controlled to a point where you find it difficult to distort the sound punching the upper volume limits. The Bluetooth pairing is way simple and the range coverage is more than enough when roaming indoors or outdoors. The headphones are lighter than previous model, its flexibility is one that'll put yoga instructors to shame. You can literally bend the headphones straight 180 whilst twisting it. That's impressive.

It's a total package as the Matt Black is simply BEAUTIFUL! ...and will literally match anything you wear. Whether Casual or Corporate this colorway achieves both eye candy AND subtle swag. Not many headphone designs will do this for you! It definitely a winner. Can't lose.

mine didn't last very long and sound isn't that much of a improvement to be honest, the reviews are by a bunch of fanboys that haven't tried any other headphone which is funny.

    Very Surprised

After years of only using amplified headphones like Beyer Dynamic and AKG which have a very neutral sound to them, I picked up the original Beats Studio... wow i did not like these at all, muddy bass, no mid tones and tinny highs, they very quickly were moved out of my life and i swore NEVER AGAIN.............

The NEW Beats Studio Wireless (and Beats Studio 2.0) are phenomenal, super clean lows, smooth mids and nice not too bright high tones.
yes they are not amplified Beyers or AKGs but they are not meant to be.
Love the 12 hour battery in the wireless, and 12 hours is accurate too, plug them in and expect 20 hours of audio pleasure :)

I picked these up for when I travel (and I'm jet setting about once a month at least) and they tick all the boxes :)

Would happily recommend these to ANYONE!

    Enjoy your music people...

    Better than the originals

I never wanted to buy these because of Beats history of bad-sound-for-the-price. But I bought these anyways because I wanted to see if they had improved and yes its dramatically improved. Its worth the money for me because its wireless. Definitely give these a go, you won't be disappointed. Better style and sound. I'll be keeping this pair for sure
