Crackle, connectivity issues, short battery life and short cables

I own a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones and recently bought a pair of Beats Studio Wireless headphones (both bought from an Apple store) so I could have one pair at work and one at home.
The beats headphones are less comfortable on the ear and bulkier; noise reduction seems better on the Bose headphones too.
The USB charging lead is too short on the beats headphones to be working with on my laptop while they recharge, whereas the Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones just require a new / freshly recharged aaa battery - so no downtime when they run out.

I have a mac book pro and an imac both running fully updated OSX10.10.1 (Yosemite) and sometimes, when using the beats wireless in wireless mode (bluetooth), applications make an _ear-splitting_ static blast on re-connection, and occasionally the same happens when video goes from full screen to windowed.

Sometimes certain applications cannot 'see' / access the headphones when they're in wireless mode.

Summary: For the money, these headphones are NOT worth it if your primary use is with a computer.
I wish I'd bought another pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones tbh - cheeper and better.
