    Best band

    • Written by Dan W from NEW YORK

I bought this band with a series 1 Apple Watch, and am still wearing with my series 4. Fits great and holds up well. Yes it does show scratches, but so do all Stainless Steel bands. My Rolex bracelet does as well.

Makes the AW feel very premium!

    • Written by Melker A from Stockholm

Gives the watch an Incredibly premium feel. A totally different watch. I first bought the replica, and fell in love. Ofc you want the real deal for your stainless steel. No scratches sl far, feels durable. But I will be very careful with it though.

    I recommend

    Gorgeous and so precisely crafted!

    • Written by Marc B from SAN JUAN

Sure, it's possible to scratch some paint off, but find me a steel band for which it isn't?

I replaced a cheapo Chinese steel link band that I'd had for years with this one. Though I loved the old band, this one is *so* much nicer. It's hard to describe just how good it feels to snap the links in and out of place with no tools. So cool!

This band is pricey, but worth it IMNSHO. Go for it!

Made for the Edition Branded Watch

    • Written by Brandon C from Aubrey

I absolutely love this band. It looks amazing with the Ceramic Gray Edition watch. My only question is why did Apple stop promoting both this band and the watch?

The craftmanship is what you would expect, I’m very pleased. What else can you say…. It just looks wonderful, thank you Apple!

    Classy, Sleek Design

    • Written by Ryan W from Lexington

I’m not going to lie, I was very skeptical of this band. $349 for a watch band honestly sounds ludicrous, but I figured I would return if I didn’t like it. I must say, I am very impressed by the quality! It is very thin and sleek, the links have a small button you push to add or take away links making it very easy to customize the size. I am a bit afraid the butterfly clasps won’t hold up over time, but I will update this review if they don’t hold up!

    Super durable

    • Written by Kevin M from Nashville

I bought the original Apple Watch with this stainless link bracelet in 2015. I removed (or added?) a link to make it fit, super easy (see youtube video). When I decided Series 4 made it worthwhile for an upgrade, I was so thrilled to see that this band was compatible with the new model. I swapped out the main watch to a new 44mm stainless model, but kept the bracelet, and it fits perfectly. No complaints with this item, still looks great even with a few small scratches over the years. I get lots of compliments, overall it looks and functions beautifully, now in year four with it. It's expensive, but I probably would've gone through five other cheaper and less attractive bands by now. It's so worth it!

    Handsome, well engineered bracelet

    • Written by Robert E from Hastings-on-Hudson

This is a very handsome and well engineered bracelet. It's my fourth band, and it makes the watch look more impressive and substantial than any of the others.

The clasp is very impressive: it's no thicker than the rest of the bracelet, which is very unusual (compared to the steel bracelets on my other (now unworn) watches).

The band is so tightly engineered and manufactured that there's virtually no twist. This means that when installing it on the watch, you put one side in an eighth of an inch, then the other, then work them both simultaneously all the way into position.

Adding or removing links is, literally, a snap. I quickly found the perfect number.

Some reviews mention scratching. I haven't experienced it (maybe because I live in the north and wear long sleeves much of the time). But metal does scratch; over time the resulting patina can make the bracelet look like a well loved and used accessory (as it has done with my other steel watch bracelets).

My favorite and only band i will use.

    • Written by NICHOLAS F from Lancaster

The steel link band has been my favorite from the start. Yes its expensive. Yes it will show wear. but it has been performing from day one when they were introduced, when I bought it with my first apple watch. It is nicer than the Milanese loop and has more of a classic look. The release mechanism has never failed and the sizing feature is brilliant - no need to visit the jeweler to size it - typical of great Apple design!

A different class Apple Watch strap

    • Written by Simon H from LEEDS

I’ve had a few straps and was lucky to get this. It’s a different class all together from the other straps and gives the watch the premium feel of a high quality product.

For those who don’t understand stainless steel bands, YES!, they wear! And yes, they will show scratches. That’s the downside of stainless steel—even, or better I say 316L stainless steel. This is not Platinum or White Gold which do not scratch or much at all. Those are hard metals. Be glad that Apple chose to slightly brush this band rather than polish it to a high gloss—you would find scratches just blowing on it. Not really, but almost. The watch is polished stainless 316L Stainless Steel and it, too, will show scratches if you rub it up against anything. One solution is to purchase a stainless steel polish that will remove the small scratches with a soft cloth and a little rubbing.

Try purchasing a Ceramic Band (Aftermarket) for a top class and elite band that goes well with the watch. It will not scratch. Otherwise, live with it. And no, Apple would love to put them in the store to try on, but theft is one problem and the other is making enough for every store in the world to have one.

One other suggestion that a friend of mine did — he took his SS band to a jeweler and had it brushed further so it would not show as many scratches. It did not cost much and it really worked. It’s still very beautiful and it solved the problem.

Best Apple Watch Band By Far, don't listen to anyone else

    • Written by Trevor H from Perry

I've had the Apple Watch since the very first day they were available. The Link Bracelet is an incredible piece of workmanship and as a Designer, CNC Machinist, and Engineer, I completely understand the engineering and manufacturing that were used to make it what it is.

Many have complained that it scratches easily, but 316L Stainless Steel is a superb material and holds up quite well in harsh environments. Yes, it will scratch with daily wear and tear, but that is to be expected. Anyone that expects otherwise doesn't understand the material characteristics and must be expecting something like a band made of diamonds. I mean, yeah, they are $450, but things do wear out, even of the best of quality. Even the (most likely DLC coated) Space Black version scratches. You can refinish the bracelet with sand paper, which is, (crazy as it may sound to some), how Apple gets the finish on this product. By far, the best band for the Apple Watch in my opinion.

18 Months - Apple attention to detial - Still love it

    • Written by Robert K from Prairie Village

I have had my Series 1 42mm SS with Link Bracelet band for over 18 months & I would recommend it.
It does wear with regular use. Stainless is a hard material that is difficult to polish.
The amount of detail and ease of adjustment are qualities you would only get from Apple.
Sturdy and reliable I've never worried about losing my watch.
Thoroughly cleaning it takes some effort but is possible.
My friends ask if I'm buying the Series 3 because they want to buy my Series 1.

This strap is truly a masterpiece of engineering, beautifully constructed with absolute perfection down to the nanometer. I've nearly had this bracelet for two years and it's showing no signs of wear. A perfect strap for any occasion.

The closest comparison is AP Royal Oak Stainless Steel Band

    • Written by Chamin N from Singapore

I own few watches and honestly new to the smart watch game. And purchased a Link Bracelet to go with my Stainless Steel 42mm Apple Watch 2. I must say, the quality and finish of this band is high-end. As on the topic, I can only compare this with AP Royal Oak Stainless Steel Band; which has the similar comfortability on your hand. Great stuff Apple.

Owned for 2 years, still looks great!

    • Written by Shaun M from west islip

I got this band 2 years ago with my original watch and it's gone through everything... and I mean everything. The wash, playing hockey with it, half marathons, tough mudders, you name it. Perfect metal band for everyday use, not too heavy, easy to adjust with the detachable links, easily the best band out there. DOWNSIDE: hard to clean.

    • Written by Drew B from Bartlesville

I don't ever write reviews, but I have to say, this watch band is pretty awesome. I don't understand how some on here are complaining about this product. The quality is great and no special tools needed to size the band. If you want your watch to stand out from all the rest, this will do it.

    Beautiful band

    • Written by JONATHAN F from San Francisco

Yes, it's expensive but it looks great and is adjustable without any tools. It does scratch - like any stainless steel but the scratches can be removed with an inexpensive refinishing pad. Just be careful to brush in the direction of the brush marks. I just cleaned up my 1 1/2 year old band and it looks like new.
