    Garbage

    • Written by Alex A

Just as I suspected these are over priced over hyped headphones with a great marketing campaign. Don’t waste your money. I’ve had these about 3-4 months now and will randomly die mid workout even though they are charged. Ave your money and buy PLANTRONICS headphones.

    No bass and flat sound

    • Written by Cheap S

Very disappointing sound. Bass is non existent. I figured with “beats” headphones I would be able to hear some “beats”. I wish I had saved my money and bought headphones from another company...

    Great for 3 months

    • Written by Daniel Q from Rocklin

Was pretty happy, but after about 3 months the charge capacity dissipated and was unable to reliably turn them on, no red light or anything, they seemed just completely dead. Took them in to Apple and they were sent off, and miraculously the problem seemed to solve itself for the tech who looked at it, but when they were returned, I was yet again unable to power them on, meaning if Apple charged them to inspect them, whatever charge they had just disappeared during shipment I guess. In store I was told to go home and charge them, now that I have, it's clear their "on" battery life is at most a couple of hours, probably less. I've had better luck with earbuds that cost 10% of the price elsewhere and replacing those annually is still cheaper than these. Quality has apparently fallen off since my first pair of Beats (Mixr headphones).

Keep breaking, never getting any powerbeats ever again.

    • Written by Diana H from GREER

I had powerbeats2 for two years and got them replaced 3 times during the 2 year guarantee. Then got powerbeats3 hoping the newer model wouldn’t break that much, they lasted exactly 6 months before they broke down again. I got those from the USA, therefore can’t get them repaired or exchange for new ones here in my country, even though their two year guarantee won’t be over for another year and half. SO DONE WITH POWERBEATS!!! NEVER. AGAIN.

    still lasting

    • Written by Ariana M from Pittsburgh

I got my beats a year and a half ago. they've lasted and sound still works, but i did notice the hook that goes around the ear does get loose over time. when they break, probably won't buy again because the wire would get stuck in my hair and i found it more annoying even though the sound is reallyy good. will probably buy wireless headphones next time

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - IT STOPS WORKING IN COUPLE MONTHS

    • Written by ROBERTA E from Odenton

Worse money I ever spent with worse customer service and repair to the product. It stopped working randomly 2 times within a couples months of purchase and unhas to send it in 2x and now the 3rd time I went to the store because they told me next time I should do that and after the guy told me it was a 30min wait turned into 2 hours which it’s not worth of anyone’s time over a $200 headphones. You can’t troubleshoot and the product is garbage. You will be better w a knock off that you put in the trash when stops working. I sent to repair as it was the option offered and came back w same problem and they don’t care at all how much you paid and your expectations. worse product I ever bought from Apple.

    Do not buy!

Not even a year of having them they just stopped working. I contacted apple and they replaced it. My second pair I’ve had for about a year and a half and both earpieces are broken off. Don’t waste your money

Worst apple product I've ever purchased

    • Written by Michael N from SAINT PETERSBURG

The powerboets 3 was generally ok until it stops turning on one day. Apparently, there is a well-known battery problem and it can just quit on you. The price to repair cost more than to buy a new one or a competitor. I've never had an apple product perform this poorly.

    Stay Away

    • Written by Jackie G from Royal Palm Beach

I honestly thought they would last longer than the previous model but it didn't even make it to 2 years. It pretty much kept turning on and off. The warranty is only for 1 year and unfortunately the ear clips broke off.

Terrible. This is the second pair that stopped working

    • Written by Federico C from CORAL GABLES

The first pair I bought stopped working by not charging anymore and just flashing lights. Thankfully, they were still under warranty so Apple replaced them. However, the second pair they sent stopped working about a year later. This also happened to my friend at work for his beats. Terrible expensive product.

    Awful Quality

    • Written by Austin G from Shelby Township

I have been through 3 different pairs of these headphones and will not be getting another. Each pair has barely lasted me more than a year. These are way overpriced for the quality. Why are they even considered sport headphones if they cannot handle the sweat/physical aspects of fitness?
Apple should be ashamed that they produce and sell such an awful product at a RIDICULOUS price. The fact that they don't care or do anything about improvements to the product blows my mind. I am a dedicated Apple product user and these are not reflective of who are they. Do not recommend. Spend your hard earned money and other headphones that are actually worth it, especially if you need them for working out.

I bought mine from Walmart because they were on sale and thank the good lord that I purchased their 2 year care plan because I had a hunch that I was going to need it and I was right. Sent the broken headphones back and received a credit.

Apple, look at all of these horrid reviews. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Obviously these are defective in more ways than one. Horrible look.

    Love them, but unreliable connection

    • Written by Stephen E from Liverpool

I’ve had 2 pairs so far. I returned the first because of connection problems, then decided to get another pair a couple of months later in the hope it was an isolated issue. When they work they are fantastic - I love the automatic on/off as you put them in your ears/remove them. The sound is great and they don’t move at all while doing exercise. For the first week the new pair worked perfectly, then all of a sudden they disappeared from my iPhone’s Bluetooth list. Unfortunately the only way to re-pair them is with the case, so I had to wait until getting home. The phone recognised them as Powerbeats but not mine, so I had to manually re-pair, even though they were still showing as paired with my iPad. Then yesterday exactly the same thing happened with the iPad. So far since I re-paired them they have maintained the connection, but it’s frustrating not to be able to trust that they will definitely connect to your phone when you take them out of the house without the case. Seems to be a problem with the Apple H1 chip, because I’ve never had anything similar to this with any other Bluetooth earphones. Hoping an update fixes the issues.

    Underwhelming sound and battery life

    • Written by Sam W from LA

My first and very likely my last Beats purchase. The sound is terrible and the battery life is nowhere near 12 hours as claimed by Apple. I am pretty sure my earphones are genuine as I got them a very large Apple re-seller. Very disappointing.

    Trying to Run

    • Written by Chelsea M from Victoria

I bought these when I saw them in a vending machine aboard BC ferries on my way to Vancouver/Victoria. I wanted to have a good pair for running - resistant to sweat, wireless, wouldn't fall off my ears. At first I used these mostly for walking around or travel, decent sound. But as soon as I pushed myself with running - I finally started to be able to run more than 10 minutes straight!! :( - these earphones start breaking down. I thought they were waterproof/resistant but it must be the sweat. Whatever I'm listening to, the volume will adjust on it's own either getting painfully loud or so low I can't hear. I've watched my phone screen as the dial for volume goes up and down without me touching it. If I try to adjust it back by the earphone buttons, it's response time is either very long or doesn't respond at all. When I go to turn the earphones off and hold the button on the left earphone down, it refuses. They only seem to work if I keep them super dry which is super unfortunate - hopefully just a fluke with mine. Goes completely against the point of purchase. I imagine I could have spent much less if all I wanted them for was travel. Bummer :(

    Horrible Purchase

I used these headphones for less than 2 months before they stopped working. They are definitely not sweat resistant. They won't even turn on after a full overnight charge. They are dead. What a waste of money.

    Left Hook Broke ~19 Months

    • Written by Mammar R

My hook broke after ~19 Months. Headphone costs $199 at the apple store, but costs $114 to repair. If you want headphones that will last a long time, try to avoid this model.
    Quick Maths:
$199/19 Months = $10.47/month is the breakdown of this product life cycle
$199 + $114= ~$313 is what it is going to cost me for +19 months of use
$313/19 Months = $16.47/month is the breakdown of this product life cycle for my case
    Bought 2/15/2018
    Broke 9/12/2019 ~19 Months
    Serial Number FTYVM1C7HTYY
The best part is when you go to the store and they try to sell you on a $250 model. LOL!!! Apple Marketing is the REAL MVP!!!
*(ear buds fall off time-to-time but you get extra pieces in the box so I cannot fuss about that)
