    Terrible...DO NOT BUY

    • Written by Anh Quan N from Mason

Purchased 2 pairs for running and had a total of 5 replacements on them. Horrible product, doesn't hold up to working out or running. It's painful to deal with apple customer service and they were less than helpful. For $200 there are definitely better products out there and cheaper. DO NOT BUY this. It's not sweat resistant as indicated or as advertised. Save your money. I would rate this 0 star if there were an option.

    Charging issue

    • Written by jacob C from oceanside

So had these for a month then had to send them in to get replaced, due to a charging issues. Started off as them not holding a charge long then just not charging at all. So took em in got given a “brand new” pair about three days later. I thought it was awesome apple replaced them and had a crazy fast turn around, and then about three weeks later I am having now the same problem as I did before. Not sure if this is a problem with all of the power 3’s or what but I most likely will end up buying a different brand after getting these fixed. Would not recommend these to anyone.

    The Ear hook broken

    • Written by Lakshan P from Kandy

I have been using this product for 1 year. It has great superb quality sound, but unfortunately I am not happy with the built quality of the product as in its ear hook broken from its base. No drop damage or anything. Its just separated from its base. :(( (SN:FTRT219AGQ65 )

    Dead headphones, killed by sweat

    • Written by Kevin G from Mendham

Friendly message to the Apple / Beats design team: I'm disappointed. I bought these (expensive) headphones with the expectation that they would be well-designed to cope with a typical workout. Today, while running and enjoying my music, I heard a screechy electrical sound in the headphones followed by an increase of volume. It seemed that sweat had gotten into the volume control and shorted it out. After getting home and trying various ways to fix the issue, it's clear that the headphones are dead. They won't pair with my iPhone or MacBook Pro. Thirty seconds of Google searching revealed that many others have this same problem. The Powerbeats3 can't handle sweat.

These are expensive headphones designed for workouts, and they don't work.

    Battery life not as advertised

    • Written by Jeff S

I read the reviews on these headphones before I purchased and against my better judgement purchased them anyway. I really wished I would have listened and not bought them, waste of money. They worked great for about a month, then the battery would not hold a charge.

2 Pairs 2 different issues lead to breaking

    • Written by Lauren D

I have bought two different pairs of these headphones now. Both have broken on me within a year! The first pair the sound got all muffled for awhile and then eventually just wouldn't play music. The second pair just randomly stopped working one day. They won't hold a charge and when you plug them in it just flashes red and white. I tried resetting both pairs and all other potential fixes and neither worked. For $200 a pair it is absolutely ridiculous that 2 pairs would break and for different issues! Do not buy!

Stopped working. Reviews are true do not buy!

    • Written by Joseph L

I never leave bad reviews but I am really disappointed in this product. I used these headphones maybe once a week on average and took good care of them and never got them wet. I've had them for 13 months and all of a sudden this morning they died. I called Apple support and they told me I had to pay for the repair/replacement (I think $90 w/o shipping). Before I bought these I read about the bad quality and dying but I didn't think it would happen to me. It did and I strongly suggest that you trust me and do not purchase these headphones.

    Pls don’t buy this

    • Written by Andrew S

I bought these headphones with confidence that they would last a long time. But within 3 weeks they just stop working. It won’t charge or turn on. The only time the device gets wet is when I’m exercising other than that it was kept in perfect condition. These are almost £200 headphones and they are completely and utterly not worth it. The fact that it is “sweat resistant” is an absolute joke.

Volume stopped working after a year.

    • Written by LUIS T

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! Earbuds stopped working just shy of a year using them. I only use the headphones to run with which is what they are for and the volume/play/answer button stopped working. Yet somehow the volume will raise, lower and even stop my music about 20 minutes into my run. Also they will not turn off after i turn them on. I was asked if there was water damage and the only time that they came into contact with liquid would be with my sweat. Which again, if they are made to workout with, that should not be an issue.

    Horrible Product

    • Written by Justin T

My first set died due to sweat issues shorting out the volume control. So I got a new pair through my warranty. Now my second set is turning itself off randomly after a hard workout this morning.. Sweat and water resistant must mean light sweat and misty rain. Terrible way to spend 200 bucks.

    All great except ear loop

    • Written by Dale T

I have had these Powerbeats3 for a little over a year. Within six months the first ear loop broke and I had it replaced under warranty. Seeing how fragile they were I made certain that I treated the next set with extra care. I never dropped or abused these but once again the air loop has broken. At this time they’re out of warranty and to have them repaired is $99. Hardly worth the repair cost especially when you know that the repair is not a permanent solution. The sound quality is great the ease-of-use is great and the way they pair with your iPhone is great. I would not recommend these until they repair or fix their air loop problem.

Average Fit, Decent Battery but Avoid IT.

    • Written by Piyush J

I purchased these on sale back in 2017 for $100ish. This fit is decent as they stay in the ear but get uncomfortable after wearing them for more than an hour hence a -ve 1/2* for that. They charge using a micro-usb unlike the beatx which charge using a lightning hence another -ve 1/2* for that. The biggest issue I have with them is the poor microphone. I have used them with iPhone 7 Plus and Google Pixel 2 XL and the microphone pics up a lot of noise even when I am not moving around; taking a call when outside the house is not an option at all! The person on the other side will refuse to talk to you - it's that bad! That's a -ve 2* right there. I would probably rate them at the same level as the anker headphones you get on amazon - worth $30-$40 but not more (an ofcourse another -ve * for the price)

    Worst earbuds ever!!

    • Written by Isaiah G from Riverside

These are terrible earbuds! After not even a month of using them I started to expierance issues. If you don’t sweat a lot they might be good for you but for those who sweat even the slightest bit the sweat will get in the microphone and start not responding to play or volume up or down and will then start playing and pausing and turning music up and down randomly. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT BUY

    Warninng. Stay away

    • Written by Orren B from Ewa beach

Sound is good but having a lot of issues. Water/sweat resistant? BS! Stay away and save your money. My Powerbeats 3 always turns off during my workout sessions (literally everyday). When I try to turn them back on it blinks 3 white lights. My earphones also blinks 3 red lights and won’t turn on. Btw I’m on my second power beats and they are having these issues! My first power beats 3 I owned did not charge or turn on. SMH

This is my 3rd pair. I keep them in the hard case. Each pair gets broken INSIDE the hard case. That's a 400 dollars loss that I have to take. The ear hooks are poorly made and the in ear piece is not as touch as Apple advertises. Please make a better quality headphone for the price you are asking. I try to support Beats but I think I'm going to try a sturdier brand. Thanks for wasting my money.

I have to change 5 times during a whole year. It always had issues related to sound, battery or Bluetooth. It doesn't deserve to be an Apple product.
