    Terrible - 4th replacement pair

    • Written by Justin H

I couldn't be more disappointed with a product. I originally bought Powerbeats 2. After needing replaced 3 times in a single year, they finally gave me an instore credit to upgrade to Powerbeats 3. Just had my second pair die in one year! Great when they work, but unfortunately that is rare. Battery doesn't hold a charge or can't turn on at all.

The headphones work but the ear buds fall off all the time. I keep the headphones in their case but when I take them out of the case of pick them up off my desk the buds fall off. Tried changing the ear buds and the issues continued. I bought these to work out and use on Confercne calls but I regret buying them now. Looking for another Bluetooth headset.

Can't afford to replace over and over

    • Written by Diane K

I have yet to have a pair last more than 6 months. Apple is good about accepting each pair for repair/replacement but then the repair/replacement dies within 6 month. Again, Apple is good about continuing the repair/replace cycle but I've done this go-round now at least 5 or 6 times. It is not good.

I have bought powerbeats 4x- THEY ALL HAVE BROKE

    • Written by Meghan G from Geneva

Every pair I have worn (I've know bought 4 pairs) has broken in the same way. They stop charging and do not connect/turn on. Shame on me for trying that many times thinking the products new generation would be better. Each time a pair broke and it was within warranty they'd send a new one, and then the same exact thing would happen.

I purchased these headphones and initially, I was satisfied with the sound quality. Nevertheless, one of the ear hooks broke and one day, while walking in light rain for a few minutes, they automatically stopped working.

    Bad, bad, bad and bad.

    • Written by Eliezer F from Saint paul

Apple claims that the powerbeats 3 are sweat resistant but they're not. I workout with this earphones a lot and the sweat has to do a lot with them not working anymore. The microphone went bad after a year of usage i had to keep drying them constantly just because when I was i a call the microphone wouldn't work do to sweat getting to the microphone. The buttons to the volume got affected too. There were times that the volume up button wouldn't work even after pressing many times. Then all of the sudden the volume used to go all the way up witout me even touching the button. If you aare looking to buy this earphones, Buy them but don't expect them to last long and don't expose them to sweat or rain. I guess they were not meant to be used for working out.

OK, if you like disposable headphones

    • Written by Paul L from Richardson

Adding another complaint for the complete piece of plastic garbage ear hooks. Like many others, the left joint broke after 5 months of minimal use. Apple’s solution is to charge $99 for the repair which would be fine if I’m willing to repeat this process every few months. I’m not. When I drop $200 on a pair of headphones, better components are expected. These have missed the mark and QC entirely.

Put them through the wash and they still work

    • Written by Rachel P

I am a stupid college student and I fully washed and dried my head phones with my clothes. I was so mad at myself because I got these two weeks ago as a gift and I thought I already destroyed them. I tried turning them on and THEY STILL WORK! I have never written a product review before and honestly typically recommend off brand things (very budget conscious) but I'm just so happy right now! Beats are amazing!

The hooks of these phones break even with minimal use so dont buy it

    • Written by Mudassar A from Toronto

I bought these new in Dec-2018 and within one month the left hook popped out from the socket. I never pressed or sat on them . This is probably the worst product from Apple in terms of reliability. Although the engine which is the music and audio and battery work well the hooks are just terrible.

The man who invented this hooks concept in these phones really has no idea on how they pop easily from the headphones.

Before you even try making another product ,test it like a normal user . Go to gym ,put it in bags and try removing them from coat pocket ,Try all the tests and then release .

Don't fool innocent people in buying this product . Stop this from manufacturing with immediate effect

Fixed, Good sound, Good Mic. Great with iOS.

    • Written by Diego B

I was a little worried before buying them because all the negative comments, nevertheless, the performance of these full fill my needs. They will not last the advertised 12 hours at all but everything else is great. Sound and bass is great. They stay fixed to my ears even under strong workouts while being very comfortable. They charge very fast and works great with iPhone. The cable may not be that appealing and the length can be sometimes disturbing.

I regret buying these- do your research before

    • Written by Eva C from London

We had a few great months together and it was honestly game changing to be able to workout freely. However, the glue that holds the earphone randomly detached which broke the tiny buffer inside and of course the sounds would not work again even if attached them again. This shows how cheap they are. Also, for future reference buy these phones directly from an Apple store since Apple does not seem to take any responsibility for any issues unless you buy them there directly. They asked me 99 GBP for repair (jokes) although I bought them April last year.
I have now moved on to Jabra Elite65t and so far so good.

    Simply Died

    • Written by Warren H

I had this model (along with Studio and Solo, both wireless, both of which I also had problems with). They simply died. Won’t turn on. Did all the trouble shooting, and nothing. Seems the battery died. I had to throw them away. Consider that over the time I had them, I used them not often.

    Very Poor

    • Written by Cesar C

I would never recommend this product to anybody, unless looking to waste their money. They constantly have errors, red and white blinking and despite being sold as water resistant, no actual part of the product is made to resist anything. Sounds does not compensate for all the issues you will come across when buying these.

    Disgusted with Apple

    • Written by Matt D

I owned the past two generations of Powerbeats and absolutely loved them. About 6 months ago I bought the Powerbeats3 and have had nothing but problems. I was forced to send them back three times within the past 4 months for various issues including the volume randomly shifting up/down, powering up issues, and finally the headphones died altogether. As a dedicated gym member, going weeks without headphones is extremely frustrating. When the headphones died altogether I contacted Apple in disgust and asked for a refund, from which I was denied. As a loyal Apple customer, I am very disappointed and shocked by the poor quality and the options given to me by Apple Support. I am seriously reconsidering my electronic purchasing decisions in the future. Take my advice and stay away from this product.

    Horrible product

Purchased and after 10 minutes of use (day one), they stopped working and will not power back on. I have tried charging using a different cable and they will not power back. Very disappointing product.

Good sound quality. They are good at noise-canceling and have very fast charging and can last for a whole day without dying on you.

Despite what other reviews say, these earphones are completely sweat/water resistant. I wear them in the rain all the time and while working out, and I've never had a problem. If they don't fit, you can just choose a different size because it comes with multiple. With the cord, you can never lose them like you can with other wireless earbuds. And most importantly, the sound quality is AMAZING!!! Can hear everything and it never has static! You should buy these superb earphones
