Great sound but NOT for fitness

    • Written by Eric C

Great sound quality and confort during walking or traveling on train/bus. If you want to use this earphones for fitness and heavy sweat activity do NOT use them. Them are NO SWEAT PROOF so you'll risk a short circuit damage if the sweat will enter in the earphones... This is very unexpected for an Apple supported product and supposed to be used for fitness.

    3rd set

    • Written by Kyle W

This is my 3rd set of beats. Each last about a year, maybe more but I use them everyday. Between work, working out 6 days a week and driving these are the best. Would I like them to last longer? Sure that would be great. Don’t do over the ear headphones for working out, they make you sweat too much. I’ve tried tones before and they can’t even compare to beats. I’ve had no reason to try anything after the beats. They stay on the whole workout and can drown out any background noise. I started with powerbeats2. They ended with not turning on anymore...that’s fine. My second set one of the earbuds stopped working and the rubber on the controls deteriorated. My powerbeats3 are holding up well. I was skeptical of the open power port but it hasn’t given me any trouble. The controls are plastic which worries me that it’ll break but also no issues here so far!

Don’t buy if you plan on sweating

    • Written by Matthew T

I go to the gym 5 times a week and these lasted about 5 months before they stopped working without warning. Great sound quality but terrible water resistance.

Would be great value for money, if it lasted

    • Written by Leon D

I found the sound quality to be really great and the headphones were really convenient to carry around and store. Charging time was simply awesome, and its look was sleek. But, after only 5/6 months of usage, they stopped charging and would only display the red blinking light indicating low battery, and would not turn on. Unfortunately, I bought these headphones while in Australia, not where I actually live, in Europe. I was going to get a replacement by shipping since I have family there that could take care of it, but considering I went through the reviews and saw that this quality issue where they constantly stop working was more than in the majority of cases, I decided not to bother with the shipping and replacement. Quite sad... Amazing piece of tech, yet made obsolete in the majority of cases because of capitalism restraining it from being a quality item that lasts AT LEAST a year in most cases. I think it goes without saying that the price, which is high compared to other competitors, does not match the expectations of quality. You'd think you'd get a solid working product, and if it stops working, that that would be rare... But it's not. Oh well, I guess it's better to simply see if the AirPods 2 have great sound.

I had these headphones for literally 2 weeks and they are broken. They won’t charge; they just blink white or red. I got them as a gift so I don’t have the receipt so I can’t even get them fixed . I’m so annoyed !!!! After I got mine I got my bf some and his broke after the 3rd day!! He got them fixed but I bet they will stop working again. I wish I would’ve read the reviews first .

    Don't waste your money

    • Written by Richard D

this is my second pair and after only 6 months they are dead. I tried reset and nothing. They can't handle sweat and they are designed to workout with. Never again these are expensive headphones and they are junk. Don't waste your money!

    Great product, abysmal design

    • Written by Juan E

Alright, I really wanted to leave a good review on Beats for once. I have been using their wireless Powerbeats products for a while now, and can ensure they are to regular earphones what a cappuccino handmade in Italy is to gas station drip coffee. I love the sound and love the fit, all the more reason why I am so disappointed when they KEEP BREAKING DOWN. Anything and everything can and will either mess with the circuits, the volume control, the ability to turn them off, or their overall integrity itself. These things literally fall to pieces in front of your eyes, even when you take the extra care to clean them and put them back in the case after every use. Unless you are a neatfreak willing to dry them with a paper towel during every workout and store them in a glass display under lock and key once you get home, I recommend against buying this, you're maybe getting six to eight months of use if you really try. But darn it those are some months of amazing music.

    Broken after six months

    • Written by Andrew R

The sounds quality of these headphones is what you expect. the problem is 6 months after purchasing my headphones would turn off during work out. at first it was about 20 minutes into my work out and i would get by. it progressively got worst with time and would turn off about 5 minutes into my work out before i would really start sweating. Unfortunately for me by the time this happened it was out of coverage. these headphones are advertised to be worked out with and it is really disappointing they didnt last longer than 6 months. i will purchase other products in the future

Sound is great, build is terrible

    • Written by Laura R

The sound is by far, the best. These are made very cheap though and do not last. I have had 4 pairs of the PowerBeats Wireless and the never last past 9 months without falling apart. Warranty never covers replacements because they consider it general wear. Coatings coming off, wires being exposed, and tearing of materials when the item is very carefully taken care of is not general wear. Greatly disappointed in the quality of materials used.

    Fantastic Improvement

    • Written by Stephen M

I had the PowerBeat 2 and they were terrible, not in the least bit sweat resistant and poor connection leading to them stopping working completely within a month for anyone who actually breaks a sweat. However...The PowerBear 3 what a fantastic improvement, 6 months on still working as new great sound quality at a level which is to be expected from a set of earphones for sport. Definitely resistant to sweat etc..and work everywhere from gym workouts to long runs in the heat.....excellent battery life and comfy. Credit where it is due, well done.

    Poorly Constructed

It worked great... while it lasted. Used only for 9 months before it exploded in a sharp electronic garble and then refused to charge. It's now perpetually displaying a solid red light, and refuses to turn on.

    Terrible headphones

    • Written by Darren K

I have had nothing but problems since i bought these. After the first month I had to get a replacement pair as they wouldn't hold a charge at all. 2 months after this they have the same problem because the charging port doesn't have a covering making these "sweat proof" headphones absolutely useless. No they won't connect to any device via bluetooth. This is the 2nd time i have had issues with beats headphones (I previously had over-ear beats solos). 100% will never buy a beats by dre product again.

The worse apple product so far

    Horribly uncomfortable

    • Written by Morgan S from Westfield

I got these for free with the student Macbook discount but almost wish I got nothing at all. The sound quality is mediocre at best, but the real issue is the earbuds themselves. My god. I can't wear them for half an hour without wincing. A child could've engineered a more well-structured and better fitting product. None of the earbud sizes are any more comfortable either. Ouch.
