    $200 down the drain

    Wow, I was so ignorant and did not read the reviews before buying these. I have exactly the same problems as everybody else. The volume buttons stopped working and now have a mind of their own. The play/pause button does not work either and sometimes pauses the music or activates siri by itself. I cannot beleive I gave away my Jbird Freedoms to my brother when I bought the powerbeats. Complete waste of money. Btw, its been one month since I got them.

    DO NOT BUY!!!!!

    I LITERALLY GOT IT TWO MONTHS AGO!!! IT WAS WORKING GREAT, SOUND QUALITY AND ALL, BUT NOW STUCK WITH A BOX THAT IS WORTH FOR $200!!!!

    Upset

    I have had these powerbeats 3 for less than 30 days and they are worthless They turn off randomly and they disconnect. I called apple and all they can do is send me a box me send them to apple and then they will send them to me once fixed. This is total waste of time and money. Im extremly upset about this situation. Thanks apple for taking my money!!!!!!

    Don't waste your time

    After 4 pairs of the Powerbeats 2 due to Connectivity and charging issues I told Apple how angry I was and I was done with beats, Apple apologised and offered me the version 3 for free and assured me that the new versions are more durable, awesome connection and no battery issues.

    Guess who's going to the Genius Bar today after 2 months! They have just stopped turning on and won't reset, I am absolutely raging,
    When they offered me the version 3, they said if I do have an issue then I can swap for another brand which I will be doing.
    It's quite amusing seeing how many negative reviews there are for the same issues and apple still haven't resolved them.

    Best Earphones

    Excellent battery got 11.5 to 13 hours of usage from a single charge
    Excellent Sound Quality Great bass and solid vocals when listening to audiobooks
    Connects to iPod Touch 6th gen, IPhone SE and iPad (2017), Apple Watch Series 1 (2nd gen) seamlessly and never looses connection.

    Frustrating product that doesn't work

    Same as the other reviews. Works great first three times then shorts out after 30 minutes. I'm on the second repair and have to send them in again because they power off after 30 minutes even though they start at 100% charge. Really a shame as they fit great but simply don't work after two or three uses. A frustrating useless product.

    Good when they work, but inconsistent

    When they powerbeats3 work, they are great. Great sound quality and battery life, and they stay on your ears when you're walking or working out. The problem is the frequent malfunctions. Admittedly I use them a lot, both while sitting down at work and while working out, but I just bought them in December, and already I have repeated problems. For one, the volume buttons on the headphones stopped working completely, so I have to use the volume buttons on my device. This is not the end of the world, and if that was the only issue, I'd be fine with the product. But the other issue is that the volume sometimes will turn itself down automatically--sometimes all the way to mute--without my doing anything at all. This is highly annoying when you're trying to exercise and keep having to adjust the volume on your phone (because the volume buttons on the headset don't work). There are also random times when the power button will not work properly, and you can't power the headphones on or off. These issues don't occur all the time, but they pop up unpredictably. Overall, I like the features, but for $200, you expect a pair of headphones that will work consistently, and the powerbeats3 do not.

    Not sweat resistant

    This review is the same as the rest. These are not sweat resistant like the description says they are. I made it 3 weeks before the volume issue started. Apple is sending out a box so I can ship them to be repaired. FYI they will only give you one box at a time. I asked so as to speed up the process when the break again in a few weeks, which from the previous review, is guaranteed to happen again if I sweat using these "workout headphones".

    Ear hook broken

    Worked well for a while, then after a couple of weeks, the ear hook started getting loose. The left ear hook then just fell off. Beats are poorly made compared to the 2.

    Not a good buy

    I have sent these back 3 times and am in the process of getting my 4th pair. Actually on the phone now and waiting. I wish I wanted a few months before I purchased them so I could have seen all the reviews. If you sweat while you workout....like almost every human...you will have problems. It is only a matter of time. The reviews on here are my exact problem. After about 2 weeks into using the product the volume develops a mind of its own...soon after the bluetooth will disconnect. I work through all the trouble shooting from the service reps and the problem continues. Please don't waste $200 on these.

    stopped working

    These things stopped working after 1 month and a half of usage. They worked the previous day and now the next day I went to use them; will not turn on, no red light, wont even restart. These things are horrible. Apple needs to do something because their quality is lacking. Going to have to return them and see what happens. So much for being a "work out" earbud if sweat is the main issue.

    Lousy product

    Stopped working after only six weeks of use. Powerbutton defect and could only be turned on by resetting everything. Once turned on, the earphones imidiately turned down the volume automatically and volumebutton did not work either. A really lousy product, reflects badly on Apple. If you want to be perceived as a high quality brand, you shouldn't be selling low quality earphones in App-store.

    DONT BUY! USELESS!!

    I am on my 3rd set since they were released in December, all fail in the same way, one day you put them on charge and then when you go to use them they wont power up. Battery shows fully charged on the Beats web interface, but they simply stop working.

    If you read online there are hundreds of cases of the same failure, next set I will be lodging a complaint with the ACCC if Apple dont refund.

    Broken after 16 days

    Bought the powerbeats 3 to replace my broken powerbeats 2 and 16 days later the powerbeats 3 are dead. Have problems with volume control fluctuations and power issues. its a total waste of money. Hope Bestbuy will take them back if not, on to the Apple store to get them changed out. Will have to sacrifice with the corded set and just sell the replacement. If this is the quality we are to see, maybe the air pods will suffer the same fate. Just need something to last through my workouts.

    Pretty disappointing

    I have had two pairs. Non-stop problems with both. Just got the other pair returned from apple shop. They worked for literally 15 minutes and now either will not turn on (after charging forever) or only work for 10-15 minutes before dying in the interval right after my warmup/right before my workout.

    Actually. I'm slightly more than disappointed. Every time I look at them, or whenever they die before a workout (which they do with nearly 100% reliability; p=0.000001), I experience mind-numbing rage and must persistently fight the impulse to kill myself and include apple/beats in my suicide note like that girl did on netflix.

    I recommend buying 20-50 pairs of these and using them in a disposable fashion, or just lighting your money on fire and watching it burn in an alley somewhere.

    Powerbeats3 are worthless

    I'm on my third pair of Powerbeats3. All three have had the same problem with random disconnects, song skipping, and volume spikes. I believe the problem is that even a moderate amount of sweat shorts the on-cord volume control. Why won't Apple acknolwedge this problem, which appears to be widely documented? Very disappointed.

    Not Worth it

    They were great for the fist month and a half, then suddenly stopped working. First incident they died in the middle of a workout, then after charging them they wouldn't turn back on. Waiting on Apple to send them in for repair but from reading other reviews I am not expecting very much. Save your money and buy a cheap pair of headphones.

    Tinny

    These headphones are probably only for people who hate music. The physical design is good - they stay in while you run, and sweat doesn't (so far) seem to ruin them. But the sound is completely absent of any bass. They are tinny, awful sounding things. If you like music, you won't like these headphones. I am sad and angry that I spent $250 on these headphones and would very much like my money back, because I don't hate music.

    No clue why they've gotten such bad reviews

    I love my powerbeats 3 I got them in Christmas of 2016 and they're still working great I workout with them and have let friends use them to workout as well the sound is great the Bluetooth connectivity is strong as ever and I can't think of a time when I've regretted the purchase definitely going to be buying the next model of these if Apple decides to continue with them!

    THE WOREST HEAD PHONES FOR THE PRICE

    Who ever is looking to buy these headphone don't buy these headphone. BECAUSE I BOUGHT TWO OF THEM AND THEY WERE BOTH USELESS. For the price apple is asking for these headphone it is crazy because as you will be listening to this headset they will stop working. These headsets would not turn back on. It is not fair when we go buy this product and you pay up front and you have to wait around for the apple to send it for repair or replacement. IT SHOULD BE ON THE SPOT because customer are not paying 50 dollars for these headsets. POOR ON APPLE. IF APPLE IS READING THIS FIRE THE GUY WHO DESIGNED THESE HEADSETs. EPIC FAIL.
