Good, but not as good as it should be.

I purchased the new Powerbeats3 a few weeks ago as I was told they look, feel and sound great, but as soon as I used them I was disappointed when I was listening to some music, the bass fails badly, it just does not seem to be there at all, I should have purchased the Bose equivalent I guess.
As for the pairing and using them with all my Apple devices, not to mention the long battery life thanks to the Apple W1 chip, has really made a big difference and is a great feature.
Also the look and feel, they are great and don't fall out when running, in the gym or just out and about.

    Disappointed

As promised the headphones were easy to pair with my iPhone and then automatically to my iPad.

Apple Watch? Not so much. Tried and tried but Apple Watch was aware of the PowerBeats but just couldn't connect (kept prompting me to make sure they were turned on and nearby). Rebooting the Watch was the annoying solution (it's not fast).

Mac Book Pro. No Powerbeats appear anywhere. Certainly not what I was lead to believe the magical W1 chip was supposed to solve.

The reason I bought the Powerbeats was to go running with the AW and nothing else. So I started the music, began the workout, ran for about 10 minutes until the #$%#!& headphones disconnected and wouldn't reconnect (same "make sure they're turned on and nearby" error). Run ruined. Powerbeats back in the box to be returned. Not worth $259. Not worth $159. Not worth the 2 trips to the Apple store.

Sound quality just OK, buds hurt my ears

Really love all Apple things, but this is really disappointing to say the least, I expected to have great quality sound and a painless fit. I got a mediocre sound quality and buds that hurt my ears when wearing them +1h. I've tried all the different buds, to no avail. Maybe it's my ears, or maybe they just need to get used to it? I don't know, but I'm returning them.

Sadly it's worse than the previous model

Bought previous model 18 months ago and it broke so I decided to upgrade to this. Just put it on and finalise why the battery life is longer as the sound quality is bad (to save battery life I guess). Kinda sounds like low quality music. :( really want to return it.

    Good but some cons

So ive had this product for around 2 weeks now. Firstly, Amazing battery life, charging is fast and the pairing in really easy with an iphone. The sound is good, not amazing but no bad either, but paying £170 i expect better. In that sense you can get much better but then again it isnt much of a big deal. Also the wireless connection is amazing can leave my phone in the locker at gym and it will work perfectly all the way to the other side of the gym. At home i can go as far as my living room without it cutting off but my house isnt very big. However, the fit isnt perfect as it says it is, which is the reason i brought this product. It shows that it wont fall out however my left ear does at times, not fully but i still need to put it back in place when running, which is something i dont like doing. But by changing earbuds i could tell there was a difference, by using my old earbuds on my old headphones , so it may be worth fiddling around and trying other buds. So overall it isnt too bad but its not worth £170, but then again i am paying for the brand, and the aesthetics of its quite nice, so maybe if the price was lower i would give it 5*. I do reccomend this product if you need wireless headphomes and use it at the gym, if youre buying it for causal use i would suggest not buying it. 8.5/10

    Save your money

This product was such a disappointment! I am a big Apple product fan because of its quality, and this product died on my after less than 10 uses. I sent it back and received a replacement and that died 2 weeks from receiving. Maybe I am unlucky with this product but I chose to purchase the Bose headphones and they are so much better. They have an app that tracks your heartbeat, fit better, and are $179. I wish that this product improves and the quality gets better. Once again so disappointed!

great for running, great for studying

Bought them because wanted some wireless earphones for when I'm running and they worked great. Not once did they fell off or dangle while running. Run for 2 miles and I tend to sweat a lot and they still hold on. Also, they are surprisingly good on helping me to concentrate while studying. Connect the powerbeats to my mac, put some ambient music on, and I'm transported into a whole new world. Kids are playing out side and I can't hear them at all.

Great for Exercise, but DO NOT Expect Noise Cancelling

I read review after review after review for 6+ weeks and all of them were very polarized. It seemed that you either liked them or did not. After reading many of the negative reviews, it looked like they were defects with the product, and that the product didn't work properly. I wish that they would write about the product once they got a new product that did work.

Anyways, I got mine and have tested them out.

Charge took 15 minutes and then I was up and running.
To pair them to my iPhone 7 couldn't have been easier. Hold the powerbutton next to your phone and boom, it asks you to connect and it did.
After that I would turn them off, and play music on my phone and then turn them on, and the music went to the headphones automatically. Perfect.
As for the W1 chip and the battery, I left them on all night playing music from my phone (phone was plugged in). I woke up with music still going strong, this was 7.5 hrs.

As for the sound, the bass is great. not to loud, but you can feel it.
And for other music without bass, I'm a big fan of musicals, it was all crystal clear. These are better than the air pods from Apple and actually better the my Skull Candy over ear headphones that I use for running.

The fit was good, but had to swap out the ear buds for a smaller size to fit my ear.

These are exercise headphones, NOT noise cancelling. And because of that you can hear some outside noise, this is for the safety of athletes (runners, like me who run in the city). If you want noise cancelling headphones, DO NOT get these. But they are solid, the ambient noise is minimal and does not affect the quality of these headphones.

The only thing I do not like is the case, but that should not make it lose a star as that is not the headphones.

These are great for running and last a long time and fit really good with great sound quality.

    A great recommendation

The new wireless beats headphones are a great recommendation for those who are tired and sick of headphones with wires. These wireless headphones are much easier when you want to listen to music because you don't have to deal with the hassle of untangling wires each time you want to listen to music. Also, they are quick as simple each time you are going to use them all you do is turn on Bluetooth from your phone and they instantly pair with each other and you are ready to go. No more worries of your wires ripping from your previous headphones and having to buy new headphones. All you need to do is charge them for an hour or two and you can listen to music throughout 6 hours. I personally do not listen to music for 6 hours straight but it is a good thing to have for when you want to listen to music here and there. I strongly recommend you to go wireless it saves you the hassle of wired headphones and from the wires ripping.

    Stopped turning on.....period.

I was really excited to finally get a pair of beats for the gym and running. They fit and sound great but I am going through my second pair in less than two weeks. The headphones sync and work for a couple of days then they just don't turn on....period. I tried to do the firmware update and they still don't work. The same thing has happened twice already and its just plain frustrating and disappointing because, again, the headphones do sound and fit great but it doesn't do much when they just don't turn on anymore. I was really disappointed to the point were I would not recommend this product.

The quality of sound is worse than Apple earphone which come with iPhone

The quality of sound of Powerbest3 Wireless is so bad. It's even worse than the earphone comes with iPhone.

No matter bass, treble or voice, all are very bad. It's more like a $20 earphone. Paying $200 for this is an insane idea. I feel sorry for my friend who brought this for me as a birthday present.

Don't be fooled by the marketing, these headphones are bad for the price

These headphones are not good headphones at all for what they cost. The sound quality is the same or worse than standard $30 Apple EarPods. The material feels a little cheap, with small plastic parts that don't feel their was much craftsmanship put in to product engineering. These headphones don't even stay in your ear any better than Apple Earpods.

If you think about who Beats markets their products for, it becomes obvious that they are marketing to kids/teens who are more likely to spend a lot for an average product.

These headphones are not bad in terms of sound quality and functionality, and being wireless they are convenient, but for the price they are an extremely bad value. Don't buy these and support Beats for just trying to make money.

Great sound ... when there's no wind

I've had these for a couple of weeks and used them mostly for walking and cycling. I love how easily they connect to my iPhone SE and 2nd gen. Apple Watch, the sound is crisp and clear, (I don't get any of the electronic noise or static I got from my last set of ear buds) and the controls work perfectly. My only suggestion is that the overall design could be vastly improved by making them more aerodynamic, (Eliminating the boxy flat surfaces and hard angles on the casings holding the earbuds) which create an enormous amount of wind-noise; so much that even the slightest breeze is amplified to the point of muting the music. Of course, this wind-noise worsens when running or cycling, so the end result is that the current design isn't very good for such activities. An alternative is to try to drown out the wind noise by increasing the sound volume of whatever one's listening to, but that's dangerous. Anyway, they're disappointing because I chose these over the new Apple Wireless earbuds precisely because they're designed for such sports.

    Amazing Sound

The sound quality is impeccable with the noise cancelling ear nodes make the sound so much better and barely hear those people that come to annoy you whilst Im training. Apple did well with the sound quality here. Battery life is good when listening at lower volumes but tends to decrease if volume is increased. Overall its a good product as I upgraded from the solo with the cord to training with the power beats.

    Very disappointing

I was very excited when I learned that my Powerbeats3 had been shipped. Once received, it took me a while to get the fit for the earbuds correct but sound was fine afterwards. Battery life is good as well.

However, after wearing them for about 2 weeks I started having issues with the remote not responding, pausing/starting on its own, fast forwarding songs and increasing/decreasing volume on it's own. I thought this was just a temporary issue so I reset it and tried using it again... it worked fine for the following 2 days. Then the same problems occurred. Now I am stuck with the supposed "best" and "newest" Bluetooth headphones Apple has to offer that I can't return because I'm over the 14 day return period threshold. It is also probably the worst headphones for taking calls - I've had many complaints from the people on the other line.

Additionally, I've been holding for someone from customer support to pick up the phone but it's been 20 mins and still nothing.

I'm a loyal buyer of Apple products and own the latest iphone 7 plus, MacBook air, apple tv, etc (the entire ecosystem) so this is super disappointing and frustrating for me.... very disappointing.

    Wireless Powerbeats 3

So far these headphones are awesome. I am disappointed with the storage came they came with. My old beats had a sturdier, zip case to keep everything secure inside. I'm afraid I'm going to lose my charging cable or headphones out of the rubber pouch because it doesn't close.

    Great Wireless Earphone

    Hi,

I have been using Bose and Apple Earphones since ages. However after using the Powerbeats3, i am very much satisfied. I could rate it on following criteria,

    1. Sound Quality == Not At par with respect to Bose Wired Earphones but still good enough. Again during the jogging or gymming you hardly care about pure quality as long as you get the beats to hear...

    2. Fitting == Its simply wow.. Default eartips fit to my ear and it suppresses most of the external noise.

    3. Battery Backup == It dsnt go to 12 hours with full volume which is a disappointment after paying so much.

    4. Price == Ofcourse on a higher end, however i got a very good deal from verizon with 25% discount, so i am happy.

    5. Setup == Its easy like get set and go....

One drawback i find, i.e. while taking calls, its not so good for the other side.. they hear a poor voice quality with noise... a bit disappointing...
