Great Battery Life / Comfortable / Fantastic Sound

    - W1 chip: Increased battery life, extended range and a snap to connect to new Apple products.
    - Lightweight and great for travel
    - Fantastic sound quality on calls.
    - Great looking
    - Solid sound reproduction

    - Packaging elements cut corners to maintain price (the cheap rubber casing as a holder is not something I would expect from Beats. Check out a Morphie Earbud case).

So this is the real meat of what most folks want to know. I have owned tube McIntosh amplifiers/pre-amps. I am not without some understanding of dynamic range and quality of sound. Keeping in mind that these are Beats and Wireless, I will say that the sound is superb. There is a little extra bass because that is what folks seem to be after today - but these handled my eclectic taste in music very well. These are not your noise cancelling Bose headphones. They aren't meant to be. These deliver clean sound though and if you want to be active these are a solid choice

Bought these in hopes of them working perfectly since I did pay a whopping $200 for them but NOPE. Connected them to my laptop and started listening to music and it sounded like I was listening from earphones I bought from the $1 store...I used them while on Skype with my friend and she said I sounded like I was talking on an old phone that had no signal. Reset them since that's what Apple told me to do...Still sucked. Going to return them ASAP tomorrow...I am extremely angry that I have to waste all this time and gas to return them now. Thanks for nothing, Beats + Apple!!

    Love them

They're comfortable, pair easily and sound great. A word of warning: if you don't hear enough base, it's because they are not sitting properly in your ear. Just adjust them.

One of the best in ear earbuds

These earbuds are amazing, I've tried many other such as JBL, Skullcandy, and bose. These I can truly say are one of the best. The sound is great, the bass isn't very punchy but it is there enough that you feel it. But what's best about the sound is how clear and perfect it sounds and the volume limit is lowered on these which is probably for the best. The battery life is insane I can finally go a full day of work without my headphones dying and when I need to charge my phone I can just leave it to charge and stay within range to listen to music. Absolutely amazing

    Poor sound and fit

I read reviews about the bad sound quality before buying, but I thought they were exaggerating. Unfortunately not. The sound quality is on par with the standard iPhone headphones. No rich sound. No good base. No noise isolation. The fit isn't very comfortable and definitely not perfectly stable as advertised.

    Sound Good, Poor controls

I have had these two weeks. I am pleased with the sound quality, the fit, and the ease of connecting to multiple Apple devices. Unfortunately the controls are often unresponsive. Multiple presses, long presses, short presses, resets, etc all fail to fix the problem. Contacted Apple tech support and there response was to send them back in for repair. They are two weeks old!!! Very disappointed.

    Not Worth The Price Point

After having the Powerbeats2 and using them into oblivion, I was really looking forward to the Powerbeats3, especially after a delayed release. After finally getting my hands on a pair, disappointment set in the minute I pulled them out of the improved packaging. Unfortunately, that's really all that's been improved. While I've read many complaints about the sound, I have found my pair to sound the same as the PB2. However, my two major disappointments lie within 2 features that are subpar...
    1) Audio/Microphone quality while on a phone call: Major reduction in quality. The other party sounds far away mainly due to a major "hiss" that exists while talking. Also, the noise cancellation is virtually nonexistent. The other party complains that they can barely hear me and I sound as if I'm under water. You hear static the minute your finger touches the mic while utilizing the controls.
    2) That leads me to my complaints about the inline remote. The PB2 had the perfect idea implemented with the rugged, rubber casing of the remote which gave better protection for the mic. This time, they have chosen to use a cheap, two-piece plastic assembly that feels like it will eventually fall apart, makes it harder to feel for the controls and gives no protection to the mic when you touch it. Never had that problem with PB2.

I cannot believe that Apple (owner of Beats) has chosen to go cheaper on material and charge the same $199.99. While the battery life seems better than the PB2, it hasn't come close to lasting 12 hours as it claims. More like 8...TOPS. I did notice an exceptional improvement on distance from the iPhone for the PB3 vs PB2, but how often does one need that much of a distance?

All in all, I feel the Powerbeats 3 are a reduction in quality and doesn't belong at a price point exceeding $89.99, the same price you may find PB2 on clearance. I think finding the PB2 will be more worth it so for me, these are going back.

    Not a good 3rd effort!

    Excellent Headphones

Use mine daily. At the gym, no problem. At home, will plug my phone in to charge, walk the complete upstairs and downstairs, not disconnecting. Seems to be a bit further range than old bluetooth connections. Just happy with this purchase so far.

Good headphones. Unfortunately very expensive .

The ear tips that came with the powerbeats 3 did not really fit into my ears that well, I wasnt able to get a tight seal. I used my JVC foam ear tips and I got a better seal with those. The powerbeats 3 make my ears red and hot if I wear them for more than 2 hours and sometimes its a pain to get them in correctly. The sound is decent . The pairing is super simple with iPhone + Macbook . They don't completely isolate exterior noise but it gets the job done . if you have the disposable income

PowerBeats3, great for iPhone 6 & Nothing Else

The title says it all. Apple fail.

PowerBeats3 sound quality on your iPhone 6 or later...GREAT!

HOWEVER, try them with ANY OTHER device (whether apple or not) HORRIBLE.

I have MacBook air (early 2016) & tried them out with iTunes. HA, the difference in sound quality & volume from your iPhone to MacBook air is literally night & day.

I tried my friends Powerbeats2 on my iPhone & MacBook air & I was very satisfied. This was the whole reason I bought Powerbeats3. Womp. You'd think Powerbeats3 would be better than 2, they're not. Unless you only want to use them with your iPhone 6 or later.

Im returning them, & buying Powerbeats2.

    These headphones are great!

You're not using them right! I really want to say that to a lot of people. If I listened to the reviews that chastised the headphones for whatever reason I would not have bought them. They are as loud as the PowerBeats2, so I'm not sure why everyone is complaining. You must get the fit correct to use these headphones properly. I am aware that all headphones won't work for everyone, just like I can't use the included pair with any iPhone because they hurt after using them for more than a few minutes. The extended battery life is amazing, I just wish they had an auto-off feature like some other bluetooth headsets-the PowerBeats2 didn't have an auto-off feature so idk why Im complaining but I needed to find something wrong with them lol. Try and use them because I think that with the proper fit you'll like them. Try EVERY ear piece to see which works best for you. Trust me. Otherwise return them.
