    Quality and Toughness

    • Written by RUSSELL O

Long story short... Left and lost my 1st pair of Beats3 at the gym. Their a must have when running miles and miles. So I bought a 2nd pair. Accidentally dropped them in the woods without knowing it in Oct 2018. Didn't know where they went. Couldn't afford a 3rd pair. Went without. I live in Western PA. Inches of rain, feet of snow and miserably low subfreezing temps. Stumbled across them in March 2019. They charged, they worked and are back in my ears. Now that's more than water resistant and sweat proof. AMAZING PRODUCT. Hopefully I won't need to buy another pair but would DEFINITELY buy these if I lose them again. Oh, and sound quality is unmatched. Very stable and fit the ear great. All around 10 out of 10 stars.

    Poor build quality.

    • Written by Stanley G

So I have had these for 14 months and the ear piece loop broke right out of the ear bud piece. Normal commenting use, no athletics. So after this short amount of time I have to pay another $99 for repair after paying $199 last year!? Nope. They don’t stay in the ears well, no matter which size bud cushion is used. Sound quality is good. My first and last Beats product. Not worth the price.

    Dissapointed

    • Written by Chris H from Carrolton

I have had my power beats 3 for about 3 months, I loved the functionality and the ease of use. After about a month the “honeymoon” was over, the quality of sound dissipated. Shortly after that the wire inside of the ear hook on both sides began to protrude out and was poking my ear. I called apple and they told me this was not apart of the warranty and I would need to pay $99 to fix plus $7 to ship. This is rediculous, I would rather buy something off brand and throw away. Never thought apple would handle this matter in that fashion, makes me want to switch everything back to android. Thanks but no thanks.

    Not satisfied

    • Written by Javier F

They kinda suck, within 5 months the wire for the war piece broke though the rubber on left ear piece, 2 months later the piece that wraps around your ear completely fell off. I don’t use them often either. Structure quality is poor, sound is good though

    Stopped working after 6 months

    • Written by Adriana H

Not worth the money. They were great for the first 3 or so months. Then they stopped working well. They would only hold a charge for about an hour or so for about a month. And now they don’t work at all. I’ve tried resetting and everything.

    Disappointed

I have owned the Powerbeats2 wireless and liked them enough to try the Powerbeats 3. What is with the piece of rubber that is supposed to be a carrying case? It is awkward to use and hard to get the whole accessory in the pocket compared to the previous hard protected zip up case. The charging port no longer has the rubber insert protector. Finally, the set just feels cheaply made compared to the powerbeats2. I think the usage time of 12 hours might be the only upgrade. Maybe I am glad I didn’t spend $350 on the new ANC headphones.

    Good sound terrible fit

    • Written by Harrison D

The sound quality is great, but the ear fit is terrible, the inner ear part isn't long enough to hold it in your ear and the outer ear part is way too big and is almost painful.. guess I'll stick with Bose. Will never buy beats again.

i was so excited after waiting years. At first the sound was just ok. also the left earbud hurt. the hooks kinda bother my glasses but its not that bad. to fix the sound i got memory foam eartips from wish. omg the bass is so good and i love the sound now. talking is clear but the remote needs work. i hope the power beats 4 come totally wireless with touch controls like my gear icon x.

    Buyer Beware

    • Written by Brian R

I originally bought these in 2017, had to replace them through warranty 6 TIMES. All within a matter of 5 months. The earphones would apparently short and turn off mid-workout because of the sweat. So it's a workout designed earphone that isn't reliable enough for a workout? My latest pair I got from warranty has lasted me since the end of 2017, and unfortunately started acting up again today. 30 min of stairmaster and shut off 18 min into my workout. You're better off buying Bose because Apple/Beats obviously could care less about making a product that is durable and reliable.

Good sound quality but trash durability. It doesn't live up to how its been advertised as a product for heavy physical activity. Defitnatley not sweat proof and most definitely not worth the price. Wont be continuing with beats products.

    Ear piece loop coming apart.

    • Written by Matt M

The loop that goes over the ear has a cover. The cover is coming apart and exposing the inside. I thought I was buying a quality product due to the price and it is associated with Apple. I could have bought ten cheap pair for the price of these. Now they want $99.00 to repair. Not happy!!!

    Broken earpiece

    • Written by Jose Z

Hi just writing this because over the years I’ve had multiple beats headphone.. but I think that I’ve been patience with your product the last two recent pairs, have been less than durable and they really disappoint.. with thing a span of 6 month both of then have bronken in the ear bad. And one of them even had the wire breaking thru the plastic.. I don’t know when you guys decided to go lower grade material but I’m very disappointed.. The sound is great and I love it because they used to be able to handle the punishement but now I think I’m going to have to rethink if I’m willing to pay the 200 dollar for another pair..

    randomly power off

    • Written by Emma M

EVEN FRESH OUT OF THE BOX They had trouble syncing to my phone, I had to constantly update my phone and reset the beats. I am in no means a heavy user I only used them a handful of times a month. at 15 months they completely will not power up. I've contacted the apple store three times and each time they will trouble shoot them and they will work for about a week and then return to not working. I will now have to pay to repair the product Im highly disappointed

Not Sustainable...Broken Twice in A Year

    • Written by Jenna M

When my Beat headphones are working, I love them. However that isn't the case. The first issue I had was a few months in where they stopped taking a charge. I received my second pair a few months ago and now these take a charge but the battery life went from days to <8 minutes. Do not recommend.

Great base, but only buy with an extended warranty as break via sweat

    • Written by Philip B from clovelly

3 pairs down now. Thinking of another pair as they have great bass, fit my ears well, the linking wire makes safe for cycling (vs individual buds).
BUT they die from the sweat. I use cycling every day, latest pair lasted a year and 3 days. Thankfully i paid for an extended 'replacement' warranty at JB Hifi so got the money back. Will probably buy another pair....but with the same extended warranty!
Also if they break under 1 year is a repair warranty from Apple which is more hassle

    Poor Sound Quality

    • Written by Michael A

I own the original power beats and after 4 years the cover for the microphone and volume buttons fell off. Went and bought the power beats 3 today thinking i am going to get the same great quality... WRONG!! Cheaply made. The sound quality is absolutely terrible compared to the originals. No bass, all treble. Had to read reviews just to make sure i didn't have a defective pair. expected so much more.

Piece of Junk. Ear Hook Broke plus more

    • Written by Andrew W from Riverside

I have been using this product for 1 year. Sounds great, but I am not happy with the built quality of the product as in its ear hook broken from its base. No drop damage or anything. The hook just broke right off.

Prior, I have had to send this in under warranty exchange twice due to sweat issues and just not connecting or turning on.

I had the first generation beats and they lasted well over 3 years until they finally stopped working. But the new build quality is just terrible and i dont recommend it.
