    Very cheaply made, warranty pointless

    • Written by Cheryl V from Oshawa

Bought a pair for me and my boyfriend, we only use them periodically for listening to music on our phones (not for running/exercising) kept them in their cases and put them away whenever they weren’t in use. In less than two months his just fell apart when he went to adjust the size. Mine all of a sudden just stopped working a few days later. Took them both in for “warranty” and they won’t cover his. If it was dropped or abused I’d get why they wouldn’t cover it but it was literally a fault in the product! Sound is decent but if you want something that’s going to last you longer than 60 days search elsewhere.

    Completely fell apart.

    • Written by Anna D from dundas

So disappointed in these headphones. My kids were each given a pair for Christmas. Within a few months the cord stopped working one one and we needed to special order a replacement. After a year or so both pairs gave way at the connection between the ear piece and band. One pair has sound in one ear and one is completely dead. They have been held together by duct tape. Terrible quality.

    Powerbeats3 wireless headphones- TERRIBLE

    • Written by Ashley K

I received these headphones as a gift and less than six months later, they would not even turn on anymore. Reluctantly, customer service told me I could ship them back and have them repaired. After receiving the repaired beats in the mail, it only took a few months for them to do the EXACT SAME THING. I contacted customer service again and they said since I was out of the 90-day repair window, I would have to pay a $79 repair fee plus shipping costs to fix them yet again. I have had headphone cost $10 from TJ Maxx last longer than these $150+ ear buds. So disappointing, especially with the customer service!

    Good sound quality...until it wasnt

    • Written by A A

Sound quality was very good when I first started using them but I went to use one day and I couldn't hear anything that the artist was singing, only the instruments. For a week a thought it was my computer until I tried the headphones out on my phone and it was still bad. To get any mediocre sound, I have to adjust the sound on my computer all the way to right/left which somehow still comes out of both ears but just crappier quality. If I push on the part of the cord that goes into headphones, it will go back to great quality for that 2 seconds, and then right back to garbage. I no longer have my receipt and am disappointed since the only way to get these fixed is through Apple for similar price I bought them at. Overall unhappy not only with quality but also with "support." Will not be buying Beats headphones again

Very cheaply made DO NOT BUY

    • Written by Jason O from Fitchburg

Well I just got back from the genious bar and they were nice but my Beats EP are one month out of warranty and they want $79 to fix which is too expensive considering the original cost. If these were originally $30-40 I would have just thrown them in the garbage. The problem I have (and a lot of people after googling) is the wire became detached inside the cable. So, if I wiggle the connector and hold it just right, the headphones work. These headphones have a fixed cable unlike other Beats that have a replaceable cable. Cosmetically, the connector does not look damaged. The product is not up to Apple's high quality standards and should never have been released without a replaceable cable. They sounded good when they worked, but my strong recommendation to anyone considering this product is to look elsewhere. I regret this purchase and will only consider headphones (with wired connectors) having sturdier or replaceable cables.

    Not built to last

Purchased these for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas. We’re just a month in and they are coming apart. My viewpoint might change if they allow us an exchange.

    Worst quality Beats EVER

    • Written by Tracy H from McEwen

I desperately wish I had read these reviews before I bought the Beats EP. Paid $130 for them at Best Buy for a birthday present for my niece and they didn't last 3 months, with probably less than average use, before the tip broke off in her new ipad Santa brought her for Christmas. We can't get the part out of the ipad, so it is basically ruined for headphones. And we can't replace the cord on the Beats b/c it's built in. Reading on here this isn't covered in the warranty ticks me off. With SO many people having this same problem, this should most definitely be covered by warranty and any beats that break like this should be replaced. I would expect this from $10 headphones, but not ones that cost $130. They should last longer than 3 months. It's ridiculous that Apple isn't doing better by their customers who spend SO much money with them.

    Do not buy!!!!

    • Written by Amee Z from Fenton

We purchased these Beats EP for my son for Christmas. He was listening to a video on his laptop. Turned his head to say something to my husband and the headphone jack broke in half. One half is still stuck in his laptop! He used them for less than a week. Called Apple as well as went to the store and was told it would cost $80 for fix the headphones. So now the laptop is messed up and we have broken headphones. After doing research, I found out many people have had the exact same problem. Do not waste your money and risk messing up your devices.

This is not a very good product. While I was fiddling with the part that when into my iPad, the metal part broke inside of my electronic and it was very hard to get out.

Extremely uncomfortable = Extremely useless for me

    • Written by Dylan R

This is a honest review from a disappointed customer. These headphones are a pain to wear for me, and the longer you wear them, the more painful they become! Probably the most painful headphones I have ever bought. The sound is below average, for some songs, it sounds like you're listening to music under water while sitting inside an airplane. That's the best way I can describe the sound experience with these headphones. When wearing them, they press incredibly hard against your ears and head, and it feels like they keep "biting" harder for every minute, giving me headache after several hours of use. Looking at the design, this is not surprising, they don't adjust to your ears or head at all, they don't fold or bend much at all. I tried to bend both the steel frame and the hoop, this lessens the biting pressure for some few minutes, but then the painful bite/pressing comes back. The "cushion" cups are not soft at all, and are way too thin, or at least the material they used is too hard. In your hand, they feel like medium to hard rubber. On your ears, they feel like rocks pressing harder and harder. In my view, these headphones doesn't represent the Beats brand in a good way. For the over $100 I paid, they lack comfort, overall quality and sound quality. There are plenty of better alternatives for way lower prices. Also, they are marketed for being lightweight. They weigh about 200 grams (0,2 kg), which is quite heavy compared to similar headphones of this size, they would be lightweight if the weight was 100 grams (0,1 kg) or less. Therefore, I cannot give these headphones more than 1 star. Even if you want headache, I do not recommend these headphones, and I hope that Apple/Beats staff will listen to my review before they make their next model of headphones.

Beats has an issue with defective wiring (just search online how many forums there are for audio issues, especially losing sound on one side) that they will not acknowledge. For the amount of money they are charging, we were duped once - never again! Buy Bose or Sony before you buy this junk!

    Solo2 & earbuds

    • Written by Chuck F

Over the last three years I've spent $600 on one pair in solo2 headphones and three pairs of earbuds. Three out of the four no longer work and the fourth pair belongs to my wife that hardly ever uses them. Poor quality, I will never spend another dollar on a beats product and neither will anyone that I talk to about them. Very disappointed!

    Disappointed in product quality

    • Written by Nancy W from Laval

Purchased the Beats Ep headphones as a gift for my son. He was super excited and loved the sound quality. I was happy to have given him these headsets. Unfortunately not even 1 week after receiving them the jack clean broke off and the plug stayed in the ipad. What kind of quality is this? After reading these reviews I see that it seems frequent enough for Apple to followup on this issue. Will they???

    If only mine worked

    • Written by David B from Brisbane

Xmas present and used 5 times. The right channel stopped working. Took them back into a Genius but as I couldn't find my receipt there was nothing they would do to assist. I left the Beats on the Genius bar and walked out. As an Apple household I'm really quite disappointed. My fault, but why bother paying extra. May as well get 14 x $10 headphones from Kmart.

    Beats 2 Wireless headphones

    • Written by William J

I am very dissatisfied with the above product. I bought my 1st pair of Beats 2 wireless in January of 2016, 6-8 months later the product would not charge or turn on despite diligent handling and care of the product. I called Apple support, they took great care of me, which I was thankful for. Now, here I am another 6-8 months from the 2nd pair I received and the same malfunction has occurred. I called Apple support once again, they stated that it was now out of warranty and it would cost ~$100 to fix. I explained to them the situation and how this was the 2nd time it had occurred, how I was disappointed in the product due to the problems that had occurred and was met with the same response once again. I will not make this mistake again and purchase another Beats product. The money spent for a "Lemon" product such as this is very disturbing. I will not support a company that does not stand behind their product. Unless made right, I will not recommend Beats products to family, friends, co-workers, hospital staff, or physicians. Thank you for your time. William J.

A total waste of money!! These were a Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter and they lasted about 2 months if that. Sound was only coming out of one side and then the headphone jack broke in her iPad. I sent them back and Apple emailed me stating that they would repair the sound but I would have to pay for the jack. I went off!!! How do you expect her to use her headphones without the jack and I made it perfectly clear that I wasn't paying for anything. After about 2 days of arguing they agreed to cover all expenses. The headphone came back and guess what? Not even 7 days later the jack broke inside her iPad again. That day her dad went out a brought her some headphones from Five and Below and they are still working. Apple needs to read people reviews and recall this product. I'm asking them to replace the headphone with a different pair,, no response as of yet.

I am a new purchaser of the Beats X. Simply because I play sports, and tired of using wires. I use my Beats X for everyday things, walking my dogs, work, sports etc. For me, I rate 1/10 because sure its great for those the everyday uses, but I purchased only for spots. I tried all the different sized ear pieces, they all stink. I play basketball, the headphones fall out the minute I run at a light speed. I can barely jog without it falling out, and I'm playing by myself!!! I wont even begin to start my disappointment when I play at full speed by myself. As a purchaser of regular beats headset, to these new Beats X I am very disappointed. The headphones is poor quality sound, always falls out of my ear, and I still prefer my headset over these Beats X.
