    My favorite

I have several straps for my Series 2. Some are after market and some from Apple. My personal favorite is the Milanese loop. I like the precision adjustability. Is very comfortable and good enough that I do not notice anything on my wrist. I like that.

    Good but things to know

To start I like the band. I bought it with the watch.

Two things to be aware of. First it isn't suitable for anything that causes an impact up the arm. If you try golf with it for instance, it will get progessively looser with each hit. The second is that while nothing else has scratched the watch, this band if it comes in contact with the heart rate sensor will cause fine scratches on it. Not a problem most of the time because the charger will be between the band and the watch when you take it off. However if you need to take it off for airport security, for example, it will cause scratches. So a sports band for swap out might be a good idea.

Apart from the points above the band is comfortable, looks good and is very durable.

    Good quality upgrade

Having recently bought a stainless steel space black Apple watch with a sports band I wanted a different strap for work etc. As this was so expensive I briefly considered a cheap version from an online retailer, but suffering from sensitive skin I decided that it was not worth the risk as cheaper versions would probably be painted and not DLC finished.

The strap is very well made and extremely comfortable, although it has a tendency to pull the hairs on your wrist. The magnet was my main concern but it is very strong and barely loosens during a full days wear. I'm sure that a lot of the price is the name but the quality is spot on.

Would definitely recommend the genuine article if you can stretch to it.

    Wonderful. My "perfect" band.

I am very pleased with the Space Black Milanese Loop. I first experimented with this type of band using a third party option, until its painted black coating started rubbing off within a month. Having been otherwise satisfied with the mechanics and feel of the band, I bought the official Apple version.

My first impressions were great. I was not at all surprised to discover that this "black" band is not a deep, true black, but rather a dark gunmetal type of finish -- my "black" Apple Woven Nylon band is the same story. In fact, the two bands look quite similar at a quick glance. This lends itself to some versatility; a perfect band for any formality. I never feel like I'm overdoing it nor underdressed with the Space Black Milanese Loop.

What other reviewers have mentioned is true, for better or worse -- for instance, it looks great with the Space Grey aluminum watch, with the minor concession of the polished stainless steel lugs clashing with the watch's matte aluminum finish. Otherwise, you've got glossy black glass screen, matte grey aluminum watch, and the not-quite-black Milanese Loop with a luster comfortably between the former two materials, both in shade and shine.

As for the diamond-like carbon coating (and its propensity for scratching other parts of the watch,) I can appreciate it being a necessary evil in order to maintain the band's color over time. Third party manufacturers aren't achieving this otherwise, and the black rubs off to bare steel -- not a good look.

Finally, I do get the occasional arm hair snag between the band and its magnet, but only there, and only occasionally. Just the nature of the beast. Those with extra hairy arms may want to give this band a test run to see if it's more of a nuisance than I'm experiencing.

Four stars -- not a "perfect five star" product, as it can scratch the Watch, and can snag your arm hair(s). It also may require retightening later in an active day. However, if you're gentle with the Watch while not in use, don't mind the occasional arm hair snag, and have 2-3 seconds to spare to refasten the magnetic closure, it could be your "perfect" band.

Weak magnet clasp and snags hair

This was a bad purchase. It doesn't look that great; it appears flimsy. I find myself having to frequently tighten the band because the weak magnet keeps slipping. The frequent hair snagging is also quite unpleasant.

    Does not age well

When I first got the Milanese Loop in Silver it was great. As the band ages the rubber that surrounds the magnet on the band loses it's grip, causing the band to constantly slide. This causes the wearer to constantly tighten the band throughout the day.

    YOU WILL LOVE IT!

This Watch band is definitely worth the money. I originally purchased a knock off...... and the original Apple band Vs the Knock off simply do not compare. This Milanese loop is made of the finest material and I finally feel like my space grey 42mm watch is a legitimate piece of jewelry. My wife purchased this as a Christmas gift but if you have the money I would 100% recommend this band. When the sun hits this band it glimmers like no other!!! That...and the fact that it is not a cheap knock off and is an original high class Apple product make this worth the investment.

    Excellent Apple Watch Band

This Apple Watch band is awesome. I was very hesitant to spend so much money on a band but once I received it I understand why it is so much. The quality of the band is exceptional. The weight of it is heavy which is what you should except since it's made of Stainless Steel. It looks amazing on my Space Gray 42mm Nike Sport Apple Watch. I also like how you're able to adjust the band to any desired fit. This band is worth it and looks wicked awesome!

Gorgeous band, but will damage your watch glass

This band is sleek, catches light beautifully and conforms brilliantly to your wrist. It can occasionally catch on arm hair or clothing fabric, but has not caused serious problems in that department.

HOWEVER, the DLC coating on the band appears to be too strong for its own good--I very lightly rubbed the back of my space black watch with my milanese loop band while cleaning the watch. This left an easily visible cluster of fine scratches toward the middle of the sensor glass, as if I had taken a piece of sandpaper to the watch.

Love how this band looks, but hate how I feel like I need to baby the watch whenever it's off my wrist.

The band you all have been waiting for!

The space black milanese loop is a very high quality band made out of the same materials that went into creating the space black stainless steel casing. Most of the colored milanese loops online are made out of cheap materials that end up chipping or needing to be replaced because of the poor quality. It was for this reason that I waited until Apple released one of their own. The flexibility of the band, the color match to the space black casing, and the well polished design are all things that attracted me to this band. My singular complaint about the watch is that there are times when the magnet feels too weak to keep the watch on, usually this is during physical activities. If they made the magnet just a bit stronger, it would easily be a 5 star

    Well done Apple!

I've had the black Milanese loop now for about 3 weeks and must say it is a great band. It looks very sharp and even though I use the 42 mm Sport model (Space gray) it still is nice to wear in the office. Switching to the sport band for the gym, beach, outdoors is very easy. The only thing to be mindful is the magnet, since it is very good, sometimes the strap (or the charger) gets close to it and they stick together. So be careful not letting it stick as it may scratch or worse. I would also suggest to clean the band regularly along with the watch. It should definitely last for a long time. Finally, the cost was a little pricey but after seeing how easy it is to adjust, remove, or wear, definitely worth the investment.

    Ingenious design and functional elegance

A birthday gift from my brother. I have been wearing the space black stainless steel watch with space black link bracelet since they were first available. Didn't think about replacing the band until I received this gift. Changing bands could not be simpler and what a difference! The black link band is sporty and rugged, but the Milanese loop is incredibly light and comfortable, giving the watch an understated elegance. The design is impressive with ingenious fit and security afforded by the magnetic "clasp". Another design home run for Apple.

BE CAREFUL! SPACE BLACK MILANESE LOOP SCRATCHES SAPPHIRE SCREEN AND SENSORS

So I was excited to see an official Space Black Milanese Loop, and I bought it the day that it was released. I have been using it for about two weeks, and today when I went to clean my watch, I noticed that the sapphire screen and sensors are covered in scratches consistent with the band touching them! The DLC coating on the loop is apparently hard enough to destroy the watch, simply by taking it off and placing it down on a table. I am out of the country for another month or so, and my watch is still under the one year warranty. I am hoping that Apple will replace it for me once I get home, because it was completely spotless before I started using this band, and Apple did not post any warnings about the band scratching the watch.

SUMMARY: DO NOT LET YOUR SPACE BLACK MILANESE LOOP COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE SCREEN OR SENSORS ON YOUR APPLE WATCH BECAUSE THEY WILL GET SCRATCHED!

best apple watch band for the space grey apple watch sport

Today I just went to the apple store to check out some new bands for my space grey apple watch sport originally I wanted to get the wolf grey leather loop but It was not a good match for my personality then I tried on the 42 mm space black Milanese loop and it was perfect it was the casual watch band I needed. I would recommend you go to an apple store to try it out because it looks more black on the website and in real life its more polished. the only down side to this product is that is $50 dollars more than the regular Milanese loop and if you are going to pick up this band keep in mind that it is not available in all stores and you may need to pick it up online.

Slick-looking as expected - Great with the Space Grey Sport

When this was first leaked online, it got me excited. Although the Black Sport Grey is a slick-looking watch, there aren’t really a whole lot of bands that go well with it, at least IMO. So it was really nice to see a nice band come out. I was never a fan of the Milanese type bands and preferred the black link band but the black Milanese Loop just looked sic. Went to the Apple Store to try it on and was very impressed with the feel. I have the black and midnight blue sports band and although they are great, I wanted something that was more comfortable and nicer looking. It was between this and the Black Nylon. Although the Nylon is even lighter and more comfortable, the Black Milanese Loop is just awesome. The perfect balance between looks, light and comfort. I’ve only worn it for a day, but I felt no hairs being pulled. I do wear it form-fitting and not loose, so it won’t slide. Not gonna lie, it almost seems like I have the Black Stainless Steel Watch Face now. Haha. I still may get the Nylon and even though the Apple Bands are more expensive, they are of much better quality. When I initially bought my watch, I never thought I would get into accessorizing the thing. haha

Also, I don’t like to bash other reviews but I think it’s a disservice to lower ratings based on packaging. To me, the packaging was fine and it’s all about the product in the end.

    Very Impressed

I bought this for my Space Gray Watch Sport and am very impressed. It looks and feels great! I was a tad wary the band would be uncomfortable over a long duration; however, it is very lightweight and made well, offering a great balance between a casual and professional look.

This is the definitive Milanese Loop from Apple! I love how the DLC coating makes this band look sleek and powerful. Bonus points for scratch/damage resistance!

Feels and looks great with Space Black Sport

Light and completely custom-fit this band feels great with my 42mm Space Black Sport. It's so finely made that it doesn't scratch the surface of my MacBook Pro while typing. Also it doesn't pull the hairs on my arm which I originally worried about.
